I mean I always had a hunch 94.9 was for Asians and latino's playing all that freestyle and house shi* but the new slogan is strait up corny. "Where latino's live"? What latinos? Who lives there? Not that I listen to that square ass station with moooark ass dj's like Strawberry shortcake but Are they trying to push out their market to latino only?

I'd be hella lame if KMEL was like, "WHERE BLACKS LIVE" that shit would just be laughable. I'm surprised nobody has called them fags(litterally St. John you're so GAY) over at 94.9 out over that dumb shit. The radio just gets lamer by the second. Only reason I found about about this was a commercial that came on TV. Radio is at an all time mothafuckin LOW.

I read something about 94.9 changing its format to cater more to latins, and start playing more reggaeton shit..... hop aboard the bandwagon!

i havent payed them any attention for years now, i stopped listenin in high school, i only listened in the morning for the dog house. other than that i didnt listen.
but now this is just comedy. more power to KMEL

My Panamanian and Rican homies tell me that the shit they play on 94.9 is the puff daddy equivilant of raggaeton. Its the wack pop shit that nobody listens to other than the teens. Of course the banwagon bitches wont know any better over here so they play it like its some new shit when the brothas in Panama and elsewhere been on the spanish raggae shit since the 80's.

yall still listen to da radio??? only time I turn on da radio is Friday Nights from 2am-4am on KMEL. then it just collects dust for another week.....

It's been around for hella long and now finally they take notice to it and sooner or later trust me when I say the shit will be flooded by every mufucka and they mommas tryin' to fit in! But then again, It's alreday started huh! I must say that i do like some of what's out right now as far as Reggaeton but I've been on this shit for years, even when niggas was lookin' at me like I was stupid for bumpin' that shit! Reggaeton is gonna takeover the South Bay, I guarantee it. shit, out here the females show hella love to cats like Daddy Yankee and Pitbull--they actually go out and BUY shit. i personally dont like that reggaeton bullshit, but gott a admit that its bringin the hoes out to them danceclubs. its a movement with a whole culure thats gonna back it and keep it going. before you know it the music will be the norm throughout the country.

I doubt that will happen. Its just a fad. Remember when all they would play was that jamaican music. "Jus gimmme da light and pass the do sommosdns buffalo moe" or whatever the fuck he would say. All those songs sounded the same. Same with reggeton just in spanish.

-and i saw the tv commercial, of course they had baby bash, and frankie j on it. i think that "where latinos live" is a wack marketing thing. you dont see country music channels with "its where white people live", so why the fuck should they have some generalization like that.

I always thought 94.9 was for the teenagers. I remember them fags use to go to my school to play there wack ass shit during lunch. I think they like the little girls if you ask me. O well 94.9 sucks. Its all about 95 live. Yadidimean!!!!
