if you go to patch pro edit you can edit the ones inside the fantom. you just have to layer them to get them sounding better. its a pain in the ass to have to do it but you can get them sounding much better than the ones in the kits.

I'm not to sure why the link is down that i had uploaded, as it was working earlier.

Those kits was taken from the original TR 707/808/909 drum machine that i had uploaded. I don't happen to be near my external drive at the moment for me to upload again.

damm dogg, thats like the easiest kit to get. What do u want the 808 drum bass line thingamajig?
if thats all you need wattage just go to patch pro edit and it should be waveform 1597. all you have to do is duplicate it and tailor the release decay and sustain to your liking. save it as a user patch. just a couple mouse clicks away.

Yeah it'd be cool for you to upload again...

In the meantime here go some samples from an original 808 that was recorded thru an LA-610 into a 2192 A/D conveter...

http://www.zshare.net/download/16881189158e712d/

Due to the fact that the 808 is 100% analog circutry, certain units are know for having unique tones/sounds... (ie Rick Rubin's unit)... I'm personally not too fond of this unit's kick sounds but I like everything else...

Let me know wut y'all think!

I got a kit called "The Tape 808." It's pretty dope. It was recorded through analog gear, tape saturation and such. The sounds have nice warm punch to them.

Check this shit out:

Don't you think those have a bit too much noise in them though? I mean if you take a listen to the clap, you can really hear it.

^ a byproduct of the tube saturation/analog circutry... while recording individual sounds we messed with the tube saturation on the LA-610 as well as a gang of parameters on the 808... that one specific clap sample probably had the most out of all that we did... I was never feeling the clap all that tough to begin with, so I haven't gone back to look for the cleanest sample...

The only sounds out of those samples that I've used are the kick and the highats...

If you want to use the clap on a song, I would suggest throwing a gate/transient designer on it to alivieate the noise issue...

Either way good lookin on 'The Tape 808'... about to check it out right now...
