DALY CITY (BCN) ― Nearly 60 people were arrested on drug-related charges late Saturday and early Sunday during a sting operation at a rave party at the Cow Palace in Daly City, the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force announced Tuesday.

More than 115 police officers and support personnel from about 20 law enforcement agencies, including the task force and the Daly City Police Department, were involved in the undercover sting operation at the event, "etd.POP 2008," which was promoted as an electronic music festival.

Fifty-five adults and three juveniles were arrested on charges of sales of illegal narcotics or possession for sale of illegal narcotics, according to the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force.

Authorities seized more than 1,000 Ecstasy tablets as well as Ketamine, marijuana, methamphetamine and over $5,000.

The task force reported that patrons at similar events have used "club drugs" such as Ecstasy, GHB, Ketamine and LSD.

Daly City police Capt. Mike Edwards said that that the promoters of the event as well as management of the Cow Palace were notified in advance about the sting operation.

"The Cow Palace and the promoters of these events are all aware of what's going to happen and are all supportive of our efforts," Edwards said.

All those arrested were booked into the San Mateo County jail and were scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

i was there the fuckin undercovers stuck out like a sore thumb. the event ended early cuz the power went out in the neighborhood at around 1am. its jus funny how the cops were there with the quickness, outside tellin everyone to leave.

I was pretty late to the whole rave scene my one and only rave i ever went to was last year at some roller rink in oakland for new years, it was broken up by the cops shortly after the ball dropped

I know right? I'm an oxymoron. But for reals tho. I'm 25 and have only gone to 3 raves my entire life. I only had fun at 1 of them where I met some broad. I was just thizzin hella hard by one of them big ass speakers!!!! and some beezy comes dancing next to me and it was a wrap. haha.

All these people dancing like monkeys. yes I was one of them.

I dont really like that music, or most of the people that dig that scene, but shit's hella fun when you go. I've been to a few in Oakland in the Sco with some homies that's hella into the scene. Some other homies that aint really into the scene done swung thru wit us a few times, and shit can get crackin tho especially if you on one cuz then the ppl aint so fuckin annoying.

My one homie was hella thizzed and this foo gave him a light show and this muhfucka was hella followin that doode the rest of the night. We was clownin on that foo all kinds like til this day and shiet.
