couple quick tips..........
when your making covers, don't use too many colors.... use 2 or 3 basic colors......
u could actually take this cover right now, because of the black & white text, and turn the background completely black & white and it would look better.....
u got clashing colors right now, u got some red, some blue, some black some purple, some white
if you were to go with colors..... what you should do is pick 2 main colors, for example red & purple... just for example...... turn the background 50's up against purple to match the rick ross joint.... and have them both with some soft red/purple light on them
the area that you brushed white around them, I believe is supposed to be light, what you want to do anytime you have light, is overlap it to the actual cut a little.... that's how light really reacts....... brush white around the edges of the whole shit, then set the opacity back and it will bring it out make it blend better..... the white light behind them sharp only works on cartoon/high contrast joints
