it was his mix tapes that got the buzz going for him, enabling him to get signed.
what were those mix tapes?
I have seen some bootleg cdrs in amoeba "the ganster and the gentle man" 1 and 2. are those the albums that got him popular? if not which mix tape are his first works to get him famous

is there one that is particularly the "best" or most reccommened. i want to get some of the early shit, but i have seen hella shit of his on cdr and i dont want to waste $$$.
I got the who shot ya? album where he is holding a gun and a blingin crucifist. that was tight but alot was recycled on his major release. the earlier album was way tighter than his major release in my opinion

I have a couple I downloaded off the internet from like 2002. One of 'em was DJ Whoo Kid... Hosted by 50 Cent. He just talked between the tracks a did about 3 or 4 freestyles, maybe more. They were actually pretty tight, and it came out right before his Guess Who's Back cd was released (04/02). I have them saved on cd-rom somewhere. If someone has a place I can upload to, I'll post up just the freestyles.
