Pranksters sent a wave of fear through the hip-hop community via a fake CNN website, which reported that rappers 50 Cent and Jay-Z were murdered.
"Jay-Z is in f*cking Switzerland right now," Russell Simmons told AllHipHop.com. "This sh*t isn't true. 50 Cent was just on New York radio too."
The URL was cleverly designed to mimic the CNN.com URL, fooling many users into believing a report that 50 Cent and Jay-Z were both killed in Los Angeles.
According to the poorly written report, 50 Cent was shot 3 times of shots by a semiautomatic rifle and that Jay-Z died of a stab wound to the neck.
The bogus report stated that the rappers were killed in the lobby of an unnamed Los Angeles hotel lobby and that two suspects remained at large.
These reports are false.

I didnt belive this for one sec for the main fact it says CNN/WORLD and i went ot the main site and tryed to check for it on the WORLD page and it wasnt there at all and for something thatbig you would think it would have been on the main site considering the IP address had me suspicious right off the bat. then i checked out mtv.com and they didnt have anything and the 50cent site forum said it wasnt true so i was like ya whatever.
lmaoooooooooooo, this shit is hysterical!
3 things that stood out to me:
1. Since when do rappers/actors/celebrities not have their names capitalized in news stories?
2. "Police say they more than 2 people " ....and "50 cent was killed of a 3 shots .......terrible grammar!
^^^^^^^^ "they", ummmm, dont you mean "that"? lol, ^^^^^^^^ "of a", ummmmm, dont you mean "from" ? lol
3. Not enough information, not even a complete paragraph, no police input, no bullshit news reporter opinions.
If you even remotely believed this in the at all, you should have your throat slashed and be shot 3 times in the head. And I will be glad to assist you!
