what is there to celebrate about? We looked terrible in the preseason esp. the 1st team. I'm starting to think this is not our year, but we are definitely moving in the right direction. I'd say give it another year and we'll be playoff bound.

If you think the preseason means something, you need to learn the game.

The 49ers are historically bad in the preseason. I see a lot of "Faithful" bailing on the season because they don't look good in the preseason, and to them I say good riddance. These people are called homers.

Here's the thing.. With all the new starters on defense, it's gonna take time to get it together. It'll be a few games (full games) before that D starts playing to their potential. Or did you guys forget about the '94 Niners already? Their D was ass until they started to mesh. Our offense looks fine, even in the preseason, without Frank Gore. The only time they looked bad was against Chicago, and that was a run-heavy game. They didn't even give Alex a chance to pass because Nolan wanted the running backs to show what they've got. Not only that, but you need a gameplan to beat Chicago's defense because it's so good, you will never see that in preseason.

I laugh at these people who are worried because of preseason performance. If the team looks like this after the 3rd or 4th game, then it's time to panick.

TSSSSSS HAAAAAAAA YEA THE RAIDERS LOOKED GOOD IN THE PRESEASON LAST YEAR AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED
5-0? Preseason doesn't really mean anything. And even though Bryant Young and Abreyo Franklin haven't played yet, we can hope they'll do more of a better job plugging up the D-Line come gametime Monday night Sept. 10th.

Seattle is back into playoff form and St. Louis is loaded on offense. I see the Niners going 8-8 and maybe 9-7 fighting for a wild card.

Lets see who they play who will be tough.

Pitt, Balt, N.O., Cinci and not to mention St. Louis and Seattle twice. That right there is a possible 8 losses. But im definitely rooting for my team.

Seattle back in playoff form? First of all, how can you possibly know that? Second, they were in the playoffs last year so I don't know if you can even say 'back in playoff form.' Plus, the Niners swept them last year and last year's team was nowhere near the level of this year's.

And the Rams are always loaded on offense. Every single year. Their defense is horrible though. Every single year. Aside from their D-line everything is suspect.

I highly doubt STL and Seattle are gonna hand us 4 losses. If anything they'll probably split the series and wind up with 2 losses, but the Niners have the talent to win all 4 of those games this year. I'm not saying they will, but I don't see them losing 4 games to those 2 teams.

Pitt and Cinci are winnable. I really don't see us beating Baltimore or New Orleans as of right now, but it all depends on how the team meshes when they get some real games under their collective belt.
