Evidence's solo epic "The Weatherman" LP was featured in our end of year round up Best Of 2007 as one of the most overlooked Hip-Hop albums of 2007.

Since then Evidence has been working on new material and today we have two new tracks for download as well as news of a new album and mixtape. First up is a track of the long awaited DJ Babu album "Duck Season 3" which, if you have heard the first two, you will know you are in for something special.

"For Whatever It's Worth" is the track we have off the new album that is set to drop on October 28th. Download it helow

Next up is an Alchemist and Evidence cut that is set to appear on a new mixtape entitled "The Cutting Room Floor 2" that is due in the next few months. "Calmly Smoke" is sure to build hype for the project and we have the tracks for free download below.

The Alchemist - Calmly Smoke (Feat. Evidence)

Following the release of "The Cutting Room Floor 2" you can look forward to a November release of a new EP from Evidence called "The Layover EP" that is set to bridge the gap between the next Evidence solo album - entitled - "Cats & Dogs." According to Evidence he plans to produce half of the record himself, with the rest mostly from the same production team as on "The Weatherman" however with one addition - Pete Rock. The album is due in Spring 2009 via Taylor Made Records.

As if that wasn't enough there are also planned releases from Dilated Peoples' Rakaa and also another group album due Summer 2009 - the follow up to "20/20."

Evidence has clearly been having some fun in the studio lately. Last week's "Celeb Reality" over the "Let The Beat Build" instrumental was a nice treat. Here we have Ev getting smoked out over the top of some Hendrix.

Hendrix Freestyle

Here's a brand new joint from our boy Evidence. After the free for all that went down with the "A Milli" beat I'm still hesitant to listen to anything on a Lil Weasel instrumental, but Ev holds it down on this one. Ev's sophmore album Cats & Dogs LP is coming soon. Shout out to Mike for sending this over.

All good shit.
