The fire department said Tuesday that when it first turned over its emergency calls, officials “misinterpreted instructions they were given on what kinds of calls to copy” and “failed to capture” other 911 calls they knew had to be made public.

i said the same exact thing when i heard these were being released. i knew they would be edited and i figured those calls would be altered to "fit the 9/11 profile" i would put money on the fact, those tapes contained 911 calls of people saying bombs were going off inside the building

There's no doubt in my mind that there were calls with people talking about bombs and the government weeded those out. I wouldn't be surprised if there were even 9-11 calls where you could hear bombs going off in the background.
