MANHATTAN, NY -- Chelsea Clinton and investment banker boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky are set to marry July 31 in a hotly anticipated, highly secretive affair that will reportedly cost between $3 and $5 million.
Wedding planner experts have been adding up the possible tab for the event that will be held on a posh private estate 90 miles north of Manhattan.
Each invitation to the estimated 500 guests cost approximately $150 each.
Security at Saturday's wedding on the grounds of Astor Courts, a private, French-style mansion on 50 acres overlooking the Hudson, could cost $200,000 because of all the high-level politicians and global celebrities.
The Clintons will also have to pay for extra police protection and even more money to shut-down the airspace over the wedding to keep flying paparazzo from buzzing the event.
The air-conditioned tents where the guests will dine cost about $6,000.
Each of the place-settings for the lucky 500 guests are estimated at $100.
Conservative estimates for flowers reach $500,000. The rehearsal dinner tacks on another $250,000.
Other items quickly add up like $40,000 for the photographer, another $40,000 for music, $125,000 for food and $30,000 for spirits.
Chelsea's dress reportedly cost $25,000, hair and make-up another $20,000.
Then there are media consultants: $100,000, valet parking: $10,000, transportation: $500,000.
The groom's tuxedo, a mere $2,000.
