I am in talks right now with my friend Mike (Blutarski on here) who used to help me run the site. Still talk as of right now but I wanted to get everyone's take on a 2siccaudio.com (might be .net as .com is taken) return. Would you guys like to see the site return or given the amount of places to pirate music, would it be pointless to bring back a "Listen before you buy" audio site?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

P.S.

here is a flashback for those who were around and those who were not.

Everything these days is available for download immediately after it drops and all it takes is just one google search to find it.

very true, but people like me like to buy albums at the store, i like having all the artwork and knowing who produced the album and where it was recorded at and all that good stuff.

ya this is something I was taking into consideration as well as the fact between the pirate sites to download and then cdbaby, amazon and Itunes, chances are there is a spot to download the album and or a spot to preview the album already from all those sites. This is where the dilemma is.

I am not saying "Don't do it, it's pointless", I myself have very fond memories of the old 2Siccaudio.com, it opened my eyes for a lot of music I didn't know about. I am just saying it how it is - it has gotten to the point that except for the really mainstream albums that are being sold on 200 different websites, it is often the case that a download link is among the top page hits when one googles a new album.

I feel the original model is no longer relevant, your best bet would probably turning it into a blog with the same name. Even then you'll just have to compete for views with other blogs that have years worth of a head start. Good luck tho.

good stuff, it would be an expansion for siccness.net. I hate having to bookmark and visit 15 websites to get info on new music. would be coo to have a one stop, listen and shop, network threads, etc. i remember seeing sumwhere that siccness has over 20k hits per day, I wana see it keep expanding and growing. not sure what happ wit da sicc shop...

Sicc Shop closed down after we shut down the distribution part of Siccness and closed down our warehouse. It should return as a digital store soon with possibly hard copies aswell...

Yes this was sort of the direction of the site I might take it. Instead of full albums maybe a blog with youtube videos posted. Not sure yet though

I miss that site i got to stream alot of music these other sites were not loading up...
Ya Coop I agree however with two kids an wife and job, I have to think about time issues you feel me.

Thanks G and I agree with you, I would make it a one stop site for everything instead of having to search through tons of sites to find it. All the underground bay and sac would be in one spot sort of like rapbay but more so geared towards audio previews.

Its gotta have the old albums and even the new music from the same artists

Dont know if I would post old stuff, Maybe but again its alot of work and trying to make it simple.
