I don't think any Caddy is a girl car.

I'm getting a new ride in a couple months. I was thinking an '05 CTS for $18,000 wasn't that bad of a deal. Anyone have any advice?

Around these parts, I found an '05 with 18,000 for $22,000. '04 with 27,000 for $15,000. '06 with 33,000 for $17,000.

Basically any '04-'06 with between 15,000-30,000 miles is around $15,000-20,000 before any bargaining.

How do you like yours? Any problems?

All the cars I've had so far are a '94 Elantra, '98 Civic, '93 Grand Am, and '97 Accord. I'm trying to upgrade and look a little more professional. I can't get a new car cuz my insurance is fucked.

and i could be wrong but i think the 06 and later versions had the more high powered 3.6 engine wit 255 hp...i could be wrong though so idk

p.s and another thing play hard ball with em..the economy is so fucked right now they would be dying to have your purchase so the ball should be on your end with the price imo

man that cts-v is a beast!

its like a more luxurious corvette, same engine, same body, same manufacturer.. just different name.

and it handles hella good too.

Yeah I plan on playing hardball...I probably won't grab anything until May-August though, so who knows how the economy will be by then. I already got a nav, so I dunno what kind of upgrade I'd get. Don't really care about speed either. Just something safe during the winter that I can drive to work and make it look like I have a little more money than I do haha.

I have an 06 CTS - Fully loaded, and I fucking love it. Bought it brand new, and have never once regretted it. The only thing I regret is not waiting for the new 08s to come out, cuz I am loving those new body styles and how the Nav pops out of the dash.

Cant go wrong with a CTS IMO.

For now the STS lives on. I do remember reading though that soon the DHS/DTS and the STS will be discontinued and there will be 1 car to replace those 2.

The CTS is basically the first American car to go head to head with the worlds best sports sedans i.e. BMW 3 & 5 series (with both of those being benchmarks) Mercedes C and E class, Audis.....and actually really stood a chance. That was accomplished with the 1st gen CTS....not so much with the v model. All that is exceeded with this new model, and this time around the v model is a real beast.

BMW has "M", Mercedes has "AMG", Dodge has "SRT8", Chevy has "SS", and now Caddillac has "V"
