So is this picture trying to say that the tsunami victims deserve more attention or what? If I remember that shit got a lot of publicity.

Fact is, 9/11 changed the world, regardless if less people died than the tsunami. It changed policies and so much other shit following it. The world is a different place politically from 9/11 and on.



Anyways, I don't even think you can compare the two. One is an act of war/terror, another is a natural disaster.

I was just about to say the same shit. But then, of course, if you ask a lot of people....9/11 was a government conspiracy, the twin towers was a controlled demolition, and Bin Laden had nothing to do with it. But that's a different story.

IMO, the point of the picture is make people aware of their tendency towards egocentric perspectives that focus on the travesty in their own worlds and discount/forget the relatively more disastrous events that happen outside of our own interests/worlds.


Not only applied to these two situations but as a tendency in general.
