It's a spin off of what it would be like if it were America today or some shit, that's what I gathered from the link I clicked on...I didn't read the whole page, but I figured some of you might be interested cause I know some people have read 1984.

I was trying to find a copy of 1984, and ran across this first.

i think there's a link to a free version on 1984 in the vital thread called "reading is knowledge" so you might search in there. i think that's where i got mine. i was gonna upload it for you but i think i deleted it from my computer. i'm pretty sure i got it from that thread though. also, i believe some of the people here recommend chomskytorrents.org for any kind of educational reading material and videos, so maybe check that out, too.

good shit, i actually found the book on Amazon for like $8 shipped...so I might just do that...but if i can get it online for free, that'd be good....thanks for the info.

Orwell wrote this book in 1948, and was actually writing about the present time, he just flipped the numbers. Much like sci-fi authors of today, the underlying story address' political issues of the current time, but are placed into a different time period (usually the future)...

There's a sick version of the movie as well.... It's like a mirror society of Nazi Germany & Communist Russia. The scary part is, in the film Big Brother looks like a morph of Bush & Hitler....
