I agree with Gizmo, Shit aint right. 103.5 came on the scene as an answer to all the pirate radio stations that started to jump off out here. 102.5 had dropped there edge and filled the airwaves with selina and R&B that had no R&B. 103.5 hugged the curb and gave us knockin Hip Hop with a little local flavor, they shot us tracks like "throw dem bows" by THM, twice an hour every hour. They let Big Kid Boots run wild about the federation and Rick Rock. Just enough streets so all the artist that wanted to support them had faith and loyalty to 103. at that point all 102 could do was bump up their watts and add a new "super bass" system but continued to play wac shit. they could do that, because they are part of a network chain and have predetermined sponsors and of course , way more listeners. 103 continued to keep it gritty and close to the streets eventually snatching up a nice portion of 102's marketshare, not much, just enough to get 102 shakin. they started dumping wac DJ's, increased their hip hop rotation and listened to 103 alot. 103 on the other hand made the mistake of doing the same thing , trying to copy them. they went to the national playlist. lost all local activity (unless your payin) yeah, fuck it i said it PAYIN. anybody who has had sucess locally will tell you it wasnt free. They did not pay directly but it was not free. "It coss to floss" anyways both stations are reading a playlist that was written long before the songs have even been heard by us, the people who are supposedly requesting them. all this means: THEY BOTH SUCK. You have been had, bamboozled. go out and support your underground underdog, better yet, get you your fuckin own antenae set up, till the feds come runnin up.
