If no setbacks, it’s Campbell vs. Broncos

If Jason Campbell can get on and off the team charter, get to his room at the team hotel and make it through warmups without a problem, it looks as if he’ll start for the Raiders Sunday in Denver.
Campbell was limited in practice Friday but improving and is listed as questionable. Bruce Gradkowski, Cable said, is also improving, but termed by the coach as “very” questionable. As far as I know there is no such declaration as “very questionable,” so we’ll take that to mean he’s not playing.
The previous day, Cable said Campbell was sore and not quite ready to do all the things he needs to do as a quarterback in terms of mobility.
“I thought Jason was pretty close today, so if it stays that way, I think it would be him _ again, with no setbacks,” Cable said.
Campbell and Boller were two of the last people on the field, making some extra throws with practice squad wide receiver Shaun Bodiford and starter Darrius Heyward-Bey. Each declined comment after first speaking with a member of the Raiders media relations department, saying they had to attend a meeting.
Like Campbell, running backs Darren McFadden and Michael Bennett should be available, according to Cable, “if there are no setbacks.” Both were also listed as “limited” in practice and questionable to play.
Also listed as questionable and limited were strong safety Tyvon Branch and reserve free safety Hiram Eugene, both with back issues.
(If Gradkowski is “very” questionable and not expected to play, then I wonder if Branch would be “not very” questionable since he is expected to play).
Tight end Brandon Myers could be available Sunday if he completes the NFL concussion protocol Saturday. He has already passed some of the tests. Myers did not practice and is listed as questionable.
Those who did not practice and are listed as “out” are defensive tackle John Henderson (stress fracture), lineabacker Thomas Howard (knee), wide receiver Chaz Schilens (knee) and linebacker Travis Goethel (lower back).
Cable said Goethel did not experience a setback. He was simply resting after practicing for the last two days after missing two months of practice time.
More to come later . . .
fuck the god damn donkeys
