I had my alcohol addiction from 16-17... shit sucked. I'd run through any kind of booze. Hydration and healthy food is the best way to bounce back like everybody was sayin. I would have to say that painkillers and nicotine were harder addictions to kick though, but that was more because of personal preference.
My homeboy's dad drinks anywhere from 15-24 beers a day... been an alcoholic literally since he was about 15 years old. He starts at 6am when he wakes up, but you don't notice he's drunk until around 7 or 8pm. I knows him about 10 years now, and he quit for close to two years. Dude turned down a Notre Dame scholarship out of high school because he smoked, drank and apparently didn't like the idea he didn't have easy access to pussy on campus.
Anyway, he went to the hospital last month after the cops tasered him for simply being drunk and refusing to leave his own home... and the doctor tells him "Well, you can't keep drinking like you have been, because it will kill you. You need to slow down. But, you can't stop drinking altogether... because that's going to kill you too. I see you're an organ donor, which is ironic because your liver is healthy enough to transplant."
he's just like "you're fucking kidding me?!"
and then they started laughing.
The human body can take a lot, but as far as your skin turning yellow... you should only do the booze thing 2 or 3 times a month from now on if you want to maintain your health.
