Well its Daniel Johnston with a band and good recording but something about the lo-fi, rough guitar and piano, is what makes a good Daniel Johnston album. I'd still check it out if i where you. I like the song Queenie the Doggie cuz it has this warped child like sound to it.

I'm really enjoying this chill album and it has a cover song of Daniel Johnston's "Worried Shoes" I think its definitely worth checking out.
Yeah thats a good way to sum it up. Plus its just interesting to hear a james brown type of soul with a little bit of punk in it. its nostalgic but unique.
Yeah i checked out King Khan and the BBQ show. similar style, a little more obvious punk influence, but i think i like the shrines stuff...
