got a letter from Aetna saying they denied coverage for my hospital stay lol. great. i fucking hate hospitals. i kept asking about how much things would cost and what is covered and got zero answers the whole time i was there. youre just left completely in the dark then left to deal with it a week or two later

We pay $0 including as many nights stay. Only downside is long wait lists. I have a 12 month wait for my AC but I might get lucky and go earlier.

Waiting > Paying any money
Hopefully you don't get additional complications and require a different treatment or additional treatment in that 12 month wait. I've read stories about people in Canada having that happen to them and they end up having to wait even longer because the treatment changes and they need a new specialist.

That's the only thing that really sucks about free health care. I've been reading stories about doctors leaving Canada and coming to America because they don't make enough money to pay their student loan debt, which keeps making the wait lists longer and longer.

I think that might be rare, if anything it would push you in front of the line?

On the last part, here I believe the salaries are slightly high in the private sector, but at the end of the day everything is subsidized by the tax payer so the Doctor will still get paid a lot.
