What is A-Wax's standing in Bay Area Rap?

The fact this thread got so many posts tells everything about how delusional his fans are. Dude aint top 20 are far as Bay Area legends are concerned

He's an East CoCo rapper. That means he'll never fully get the credit he deserves. Something about Pittsburg's and Antioch's contributions to Bay Area Hip Hop always are overlooked. Before death, The Jacka was honestly pretty slept on. And he only passively repped Pittsburg. People out there need to rep where they're from to the same degree people from Oakland or Vallejo do. It'll help.

People dont seem to know this but Jacka grew up in Richmond but he still repped the P pretty hard. Not sure where you got that he didnt that much from?

Not to be biased since im a huge fan and his music really helps me out. I most definitely think hes a Legend. He put his everything into this and never faked it one bit. He had the whole weight of Homeboy rap on his shoulders and is still widely known and loved many even years after his passing. Hes influenced thousands and if your life has been extremely hard then his musics gotta speak clearly to you in a way that you can feel. Ive been surrounded by abuse drugs alcohol and death my whole life and his music helps clear my head if that makes sense. It gives me the strength to keep pushing when i wanna quit. This is my opinion though so take it for what its worth. Be good yall

Literally this. If you can't relate to his music your life must be on some posh shit. One time I ran a marathon (26.2 miles) with Pulling Strings and Ova East on loop. The reason I like Wax is because his music always helps pull me out of the rut.

Ay, Wax definitely legendary in my opinion because he reps what he does (home city) while creating success' in other states bringing new ears to the bay. Dre did that, quite a couple others did too, too high to make a list of who but if they're making bread and not frontin' then its mo' respect to their hustle and talent on the mic. but thats just my opinion.

Nah he lived in Pittsburg since he was young. More years in P then Richmond. It was just one of those cases like most youngsters do when they move to a new city. But rep their old City still especially if it's a well-known City compared to the city they moved to. For me growing up all the Latin kids who live like 3 years in the city saaif I'm from Frisco, even though they lived in P since they was 8.
