Uncle had enough money to barely work for 40 years and has a big floor safe. This is great news.
Seems like it typically takes the state 3-4 months to get the estate sorted out, but could take 6 months for bigger estates. Also, the heirs may be responsible for selling the houses themselves which is going to get messy w/ 6 heirs. Instead of a typical 2-way negotiation, it's now a possible 7-way negotiation. Knowing my family, 3 of the heirs will be cooperative and the other 3 may cause problems lol

Go to the family meetings with the lawyer dressed like a late 1800s oil baron. Don't say anything directly to to them during the meetings just sip whiskey and quietly mutter to yourself "I drink your milkshake" over and over again while occasionally making eye contact with each member of the family. They'll last three days tops before coming to an agreement.
