Most of you already know, but I've been trying to tell people Subway is just nasty, first with their bread, weird as fuck chemical taste that is unlike any other bread I've ever had in my life where if you refrigerate it, it shrinks and becomes some alien form of mush, essentially inedible. Now it turns out there "white chicken breasts" is mostly all filler with parts of chicken, processed to look like a chicken breast. Most all of the other meat is actually turkey.

DNA test: Subway serving chicken that's only 50% chicken

A DNA test of chicken at several Subway restaurants found that the “chicken” only contained about 50 percent chicken DNA.

Subway’s oven roasted chicken scored 53.6 percent chicken DNA, and its chicken strips were found to have just 42.8 percent chicken DNA. The majority of the remaining DNA was soy. The same DNA test found the other fast food chains had close to 90 percent chicken DNA.

You get what you pay for. People love that $5 foot long, hope they weren't expecting more.

I know people who regularly eat the 10 piece nuggets for only $1.50 from Burger King. I ask them how it doesn't worry them that a company is only charging $1.50 for a 1/3 pound of cooked chicken. It never strikes them that if it was quality meat it would cost more than $1.50, they still don't care and still eat it lol

Definitely true but at the same time it's highly misleading calling something chicken strips when it's only 40℅ chicken or chicken breasts a lot of people assume is actually chicken breasts since that is the name, not 50℅ filler and the rest of the chicken being chicken hearts and scraps. Definitely unethical.

The article also mentions other fast foods that were tested all had around 90℅ chicken in their chicken products, making Subway far below par (no idea if Burger King was included in that or not).

Nothing new. I know people should expect chicken if it says chicken, but people should also research what they put in their bodies especially after all fast food places got exposed for that mechanically separated chicken pink goop they used to use for chicken nuggets and chicken patties a few years back and Taco Bell getting exposed for using mostly filler in their ground "beef".

Wish people were smarter and would think to themselves "hmmm this should be way too cheap for what I'm getting, there must be a catch". Oh course like I said though people don't care, they'll shrug their shoulders and keep getting their $5 foot longs.

Swear I do the same thing. Spicy Italian is the only thing I fuck with at Subway. That shit was that Southwest Chipotle sauce, pepper jack, jalapeños, etc - shit is bomb.

Do you think a regular sit down restaurant is going to sell a pound of cooked quality chicken for $4.50? lol

If you think you're getting quality chicken at Burger King more power to you, enjoy it I guess lol

Burger King has a lot more cost then just simply buying it and throwing it in a fryer, which means they're going to buy the cheapest garbage they can still sell and actually turn a profit. They ain't buying quality chicken breast and selling it that cheap because they like you.

That was around the same time it got exposed that Gatorade and Powerade had some chemical in it that was patented as a flame retardant lol it's crazy the type of shit they put in food and the FDA deems "safe".
I missed that one. Ironically, when I used to eat at Subway I would get the meal deal with blue Powerade. Fuck.

The rest of it is soy.. rather that than mixed in with other animal shit. But too much soy = growing man lactating titties.
This^, aswell they buy in mass quantities to sell at those prices. Not saying they don't cut more corners/quality control, but like someone said before you know what it is when u getting it esp these days

Believe these was a test at a few spots in Canada, but regardless glad ppl calling out these massive companies to get they quality up to par
