yes, internet should be implemented within school, with schools providing the access. but to think that schools across the state/country should have mandatory homework on the internet is elitist and privileged in my opinion.

I'm talking as someone who has been in school for most of the last 20 years, coinciding with the proliferation of the internet, and has been witnessing how technology shapes classrooms firsthand. There is definitely a digital divide between those who do and don't have reliable internet access at home, especially at younger ages. Shit, there are even public schools that don't have reliable internet service. The fcc just blocked 9 companies from being able to participate in lifeline, and kajeet operates as a take-home broadband device that low income students can use at home to access the internet for educational services, so instead of finding solutions to help get students internet, it seems like we're working in the opposite direction. Technology should be an integral part of education if we want to prepare americas youth for success, and ignoring solutions, even if they're on a smaller scale currently, is not very intelligent in my opinion
