No, that noise would just aggravate me. When I was really young, whenever the smoke detector would go off, I would go running out of the house in a screaming panic. My parents would have to chase me down the street. I don't know why I was so terrified of the smoke detector going off.

I check my smoke detectors once a month and change the battery every 6 months regardless. I've never even had to deal with a chirping detector in my place of residence. I fully respect, appreciate, and support fire safety.
