What did you think of Usyk? I said at the start of the month it's the best fight, but cruiserweights never get much love. I'm super impressed with Usy, even though his amateur background is great, I thought he might be taking on too much too soon, with this being only his 10th fight (beating Holyfields cruiserweight record of winning a world title in 12 fights). I still favored him, but I thought it was a bit risky and would be a tough, competitive fight, not complete domination. Like his countryman Lomachenko, he's showing very talented amateurs can fast track their careers and make it to the top with only a handful of fights (Japan is another example).
His footwork is excellent. Very light on his feet for a big man which we rarely see at cruiserweight. Plus he's a southpaw, great jab, very fast hands, solid combination punching, really not much to criticize. He really is like a big lomachenko. I think this guy can be top ten p4p in no time.
