watching the episodes again, got a couple questions I'll throw out there

shae the whore came back to testify against tyrion...does this mean bronn betrayed tyrion? cuz bronn was sposed to have seen shae off on a ship

when mance and them attacked the wall, why didn't they attempt to breach one of the unmanned castles? I mean, the obvious answer could be to further the storyline for the show, but just thought I'd ask just in case

This just boils down to TV vs Books. In the books it was a lot different, it was a drawn out battle that last a while and the TV simply couldn't cover all that shit. I mean what they did in that episode was amazing and it cost a fortune, just comes down to budget and filming time. It was simplified cuz of that.

Oh yeah Mance Rayder is much different in the books. For one, he doesn't die, Rattleshirt did. Two, his wife or whatever is pregnant and gives birth to a child. It's completely different how that goes down, but again it's understandable the show had to cut a lot of that out and make changes not only for time/budget, bit because some of the plot lines had to be trimmed for efficiency. It's just way too much to cover on the show especially since it's only ten episodes a season.

What about Gillian's baby, eh!? (Little Sam)
Dude was introduced in season 2 in season 6 after many years have passed that dude is still a baby.
Why is he in the show anyway? I understand a lot of important characters from the books have been scrapped for the show but they insist on keeping this baby on the show.
I ran into some interesting theories about that baby and his father (forgot that dudes name, but the one who took all his daughters as wife's lol) he may just have that kings blood.

The baby was significant in the book because Melissandre wants King's blood. Jon sends away Maester Aemon and Mance's child but he switches the babies so Gilly looks like she's carrying her baby away while in reality she's taking Mance's son away. Way too much crazy to cover on the show that just adds more confusion to already confusing plot lines. The show last season is about efficiently cutting the unnecessary plots so Mance is dead and never had a baby and thus no baby swap. Although probably easier to just make Gillie not pregnant and have a child, but having her pregnant and have a child in the show explains why Sam is so concerned with her and why he wants to protect her so much, it works out.

Looks like he had the incest storyline with the Starks instead of the Lannisters, and Jofferey sounded actually decent helped them escape and actually fought in battle. GRRM obviously made the right changes!

I assumed Sam going to the Citadel is for something along those lines, he's going to discover something huge, whether it's how to make valerian steel or where stockpiles of dragon glass is located. Either one can kill white walkers so he's going to come through with knowledge to help tip the scales in battle.

There may even be stockpiles of valerian steel swords hidden away. I have a feeling there will not be a great war for the iron throne and that Daenerys is able to take that pretty easily. She is on her way with 8000 unsullied, 2000 second sons and god knows how many dothraki and three dragons. While Varys was last seen speaking to houses Matell and Tyrell who would back anyone attacking the Lannisters and even if Jon and the North don't fight with her, they will still fight the Lannisters as well but still don't have an interest in the iron throne it self. So there seems little resistance for the battle of the throne. Except if Baelon Greyjoy decides to offer his ships and army to Cercy for marriage for some reason. But it seems to me most action will be focused on fighting the white walkers so Sam better hurry up and come up with something. I hope for his sake he doesn't get chased for stealing his families valerian steel sword.



I don't know if these have been posted already but I thought they were interesting and put a view things in perspective for me. I never knew how far the location of Qarth was for example.

I think Dany is at Dragonstone. That throne she's sitting on looks possibly like a throne at Dragonstone which has been there since before Aegon's Conquest. The original seat of the Targaryens (after the Room). We never saw Stannis sitting in that throne, so idk, maybe he never used it.

To refresh our GoT brains, Dragonstone is pretty damn close to Kings Landing:

I can't remember who technically has control of Dragonstone on the show now, after Stannis' demise, I thought I remember someone getting it, Littlefinger was it? But he had other plans. Maybe just a few of Stannis men still there. Regardless should be easy for Danny and her Dragons to take up as their own.

Anyways, still gotta wait till July. Normally it starts in April so production for the season has been crazy apparently and this is for less episodes than normal as well (only 7 episodes, final season will be just 6, that's 13 total episodes until the series is wrapped up but I reckon a few of these episodes at least will be well over an hour long.).

I thought Littlefinger got Harrenhal? I know Stannis still has Dragonstone in the book since GRRM hasn't got around to killing him off yet.
