Haha straight up lying. Canelo actually tried to fight Cotto at a catch-weight of 156 pounds, that was the weight Canelo requested, Cotto wanted 155 and that's what they eventually agreed upon.
Khan asked Canelo to fight at 154, Canelo denied it and said 155 for my middleweight title.
Obviously the difference between Canelo vs Khan and Golovkin versus Brook is that Canelo chose fight Khan, that was his choice. Golovkin first got turns down by Canelo, after Canelo agreed to fight him at 160 and requested his extension so he could fight Khan in a middleweight title defense, then Saunders turned him down, Danny Jacobs and finally Eubank. After all that bullshit, he settled for Brook since the offer was on the table. Doesn't mean Golovkin vs Brook isnt a bad fight, it is, but there is a massive difference in how each fight materialized. If just one of those guys stepped up to the plate (Canelo, Said, Jacobs or Eubank), this fight wouldn't be happening.
