good thing he didn't go to the lakers or heat, woulda looked like a hypocritical a$$ hole
He is a hypocrite lol.... He took a jab at Queen James when he left to take his talents to South Beach (note the year that twitter post was made) yet joins the two time reigning MVP and the best season team ever last year. Not to mention this is the same team that bounced him out last year while being up 3 to 1 in the conference finals lol. Like the saying goes, "If you can't beat them, join them"! Great pickup for the Dubs cuz it makes them the team to beat aka the 4 horsemen but I lost respect for dude, its not like he was playing for a shitty team like the 76ers. Either way congrats cuz that starting team is scary good and going to give that Heat super team a few years ago a run for their money if they continue years together!

it's a new era. this aint the 80's and 90's where cats remained loyal to a team regardless if they won a championship or not. why should players be loyal to a team where they can be shipped off and traded at any given moment? this is a player driven league imo, and this is going to BOOST nba ratings like never before. GSW has become the team everyone loves to hate for some reason.
Durant had to leave OKC imo. Him and Westbrook cant co-exist. and has any one been to OKC before? its cool for a week, after that its boring. hella mosquitos, hail and tornado sirens.
going to be interesting if OKC trades Westbrook. ship him to the lakers, thats where he needs to be anyway.

I can understand why durant is getting the hate, we served him and okc in the playoffs. I remember after we won game seven I thought there'd be no way he'd join us after that. guess I was wrong...

but I don't understand people hating on these stars that take control of their own careers, like they'd rather see these players be the pawns of these billionaires. really? theres a racial aspect to that too (owner/player-as-an-asset dynamic)

that's why I have zero issue w players flippin shit and doing what they want, get yo money and do what you want. fuck following the blue print. fans really want to see owners dictate where the players go? not me

I understand why lebron was hated for going to MIA but I wasn't mad at it. that MIA team was entertaining as hell to watch. dallas beating them was some of the best basketball i'd ever seen. real great basketball came out of all that

I'm hella surprised Kd picked the dubs but glad he did (bcuz we've NEVER been a free agent destination before).

then you got the dusty ass old dudes talmbout how this wouldn't have happened in the old days...who really gaf? the only constant is change, mfckas wasn't shooting 30 foot yumpers w ease either, things evolve. ole jean shorts w the kangol, blue tooth ear piece wearin asses

woulda luvd to have read Cut-Throat @Cut-Throat 's take on this whole thing

dubs are HELLA hated right now, I woke up this morning to 40 plus text messages of nothing but hate, and like one positive text from my brother lol

talk of ray allen too
I have no idea what type of role he could fill. 40 years old and hasn't played in over a year, I wouldn't want to drop anybody to bring him in.

We already have Livingston and Iguodala playing the roles Allen would play. Really no room for Ray Allen unless he wants to come in for veteran's minimum and sit on the bench for depth.

SO does the NBA just give GS the trophy for next year? How does it all work now?
Why do you say that? The 2003-2004 Lakers and 2010-2011 Heat already proved super squads don't always work.

The Warriors ain't the only team making crazy moves either, look at the squad the Knicks just put together, if Noah and Rose stay healthy the Knicks might even destroy the Cavs in the playoffs.

There's also talks of Dwayne Wade joining the Cavs lol

There's gonna be a grip of super teams in the league next year.

Even those teams don't compare to this lol. This is a historically good team adding another superstar.

The whole super teams stuff is a big turn off imo. A few elite teams, a few good teams and the rest just filler teams essentially. The NFL and even baseball took steps to prevent this sort of thing from happening whereas the NBA goes in the opposite direction.

For me, regardless of the sport, I always like home grown teams, teams that build mainly through the draft rather than buying championships, like the Celtics, Miami and probably the Warriors next year or the following year at least (depending on how long it takes to gel and barring major injuries). That's just me though. For Warriors fans I'm sure it's exciting and hopefully OKC completely falls apart.

NYK is not an impressive squad imo. GSW is an impressive squad but I predict they will not win it next year for a few reasons.
A starting squad consisting of Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, and Courtney Lee ain't impressive? They even added a few good pieces for the bench in free agency so far.

If they stay healthy that team can beat anybody in the league.

That Lakers team were a season removed from winning 3 rings in a row and then added one of the greatest power forwards and one of the greatest point guards of all time on top of it lol

Kobe, Shaq, Karl Malone, and Gary Payton don't compare? lol They literally walked into the NBA Finals with ease.
