He is a hypocrite when he's wearing his Golden Boy promoter hat. Notice this video is before the Khan fight, he's still selling ("Canelo daring to be great by fighting khan" LMAO!).
There are two Bernard Hopkins - Bernard the fighter from Philly and Mr. Hopkins the Golden Boy Promoter. This is the latter. If he was talking real in this video, he'd talk for about 3 hours straight about how many injustices he went through and the sport itself. What he had to go through just to get Trinidad was insane and he'd happily talk about for 6 hours Fidel Castro speech style. But his promoter cap is on so he's like "I fought Trinidad" and moved on lol real Bernard doesn't talk less than 1 hour minimum.
We always see this from b-hop. Good example is in regards to Mayweather. When he's just talking, regular conversions he'd say stuff like "Mayweather is the greatest of our era" or "Floyd would whoop Shane Mosley" stuff like that. But then all of a sudden when Mosley (Golden Boy) started negotiating a fight with Floyd, Hopkins was suddenly saying Mosley will KO Floyd, etc. Promotional hat.
