I liked Briane and Pod saving Sansa and Theon. Obviously the Red Woman shit at the end was nuts. My guess is she's sacrificing herself to resurrect Jon (only death can pay for life). I think she saw in the flames he's the chosen one and probably saw herself dead. When she took off her clothes I was thinking she's about to magic fuck Jon back to life and that her pussy is magical lol
Agree with this. I had to think about it for a second but this is the same conclusion i came to.

My only complaint this week was everything seemed to "work out" to easily, or fit into place to easily. Or maybe Sansa being rescued just set the wrong tone for me on the episode...iono. Still dope to have it back.

I'm glad she got rescued. I was worried she got caught and would have to go back to Ramsey and get tortured more, she's been through so much fucked up shit since season 1 it's about time something goes her way.

The show is what it is. I've accepted they're going to make some dumb mistakes and shits going to come off as corny in some parts; that's not their fault though if its anyones fault its GRRM. It's no longer an epic book series brought to life on television, it's it's own pop culture titan now and it's going into literally uncharted territory.

I'm choosing to enjoy it, and will try not to be negative about it. Unless Daenerys ends up a Dothraki crone then I will fucking murder GRRM and D&D, literally commit homicide

I've tried to tell you seasons ago to just treat each as their own separate entities. Both are great, both are different. Books are books and film is film, they can never be the same. The good news is you can read the conclusions of the series long after the show is finished and everyone has moved on, so probably around 2025.

^^ Yup. Game of Thrones is one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. As I read more and more fantasy books, A Song of Ice and Fire is quickly falling out of my top 20-30.

I went into this thinking one of two things - either Melisandre brings Jon Snow back to life, or Jon Snow wargs into his direwolf. A lot of that was based on the books (GRRM spent a LOT of time talking about warging in relation to Jon and wildlings; Melisandre seemed to have seen some shit in Jon Snow); plus it didn't seem likely that there was some murdered stunt double since Mance died.

I'm still not 100% convinced Melisandre was sacrificing herself for Jon. Another possibility is that she is old as fuck and always looks like that whenever she takes off her necklace or something. I just hope I don't have to wait 9 more episodes for an answer.

Well my friend changed his hbogo password or something super gay, then I can't sign up to HBO Now because it wont let me download the app to my phone to set up a subscription (apparently you can't just do it on a website). So I guess I'm going to be stealing the show through torrent lol.

Stupid ass HBO... can't even give them your money no wonder it's the most pirated show of all time

Bro HBO GO is fucking terrible, like 1996 AOL dial up terrible. Run away from that shit.

If Jon comes back I will be pissed because I will know they 100% did that shit because of fan pressure.

Also Arya being blind sucks. I was hoping she turned into a bad ass assassin but they are really riding this you must become no-one angle.

Also also, what happened to the dogs when Briane showed up? They just disappeared from the scene. Once their holders let go of leash the leash they should have been eating Sansa Pie for dinner.

What? No way, especially since its been widely accepted that this is what's going to happen in the books. It would be a travesty if he doesn't come back and would be bad storytelling by GRRM to spend all this fucking time building up Jon, dropping massive hints about his true parentage throughout the series, just so that he dies?

Way back when GRRM met with the writers for HBO, part of the test to see if the writers actually knew their shit, was GRRM asked them directly who is Jon Snows parents? They answered and GRRM was satisfied with their answer. You don't go through all of this just so he dies, imo, when there is a much bigger picture, something the writers have known about from the start. (One of the writers literally wore a shirt that said "R+L=J")

Also Arya being blind sucks. I was hoping she turned into a bad ass assassin but they are really riding this you must become no-one angle.
That's part of becoming a bad ass assassin though isn't it? I doubt she stays blind, I think they clearly are training her at instinctive fighting or whatever, and teaching her to let go of her past. I'm sure at some point she'll rejoin with the Starks, but only after she becomes a bad ass assassin!

Also also, what happened to the dogs when Briane showed up? They just disappeared from the scene. Once their holders let go of leash the leash they should have been eating Sansa Pie for dinner.
I just assumed they killed them off camera. Minor thing to worry about imo, people, mostly white people lol, go crazy seeing dogs die! Rape, incest, murder, hey that's cool, show a dog die and there is hell to pay! My bet is editing cut out dog slaughter.

They also showed some potions in the scene in the background, and in past seasons she mentioned something about her powerful potions so it's possible she takes something to look young.

All the stark children can warg, but only Bran is aware of it (the others just think it's dreams). But they never really show us that on the show besides bran, so I'm thinking if he were to have warged into his wolf, the show would have spent a couple scenes in past seasons showing us that he's capable of that. Who knows though but I definitely think the Red Woman is going to do something, whether it's sacrificing herself idk

I didn't realize all of them could warg? I knew Bran could and Jon was able to but not aware of it. I think Arya had some Nymeria dreams. I didn't think Rickon/Robb/Sansa could or knew anything about it?

It would turn my universe upside down if Sansa was actually capable of something cool and/or useful.

Well Robb isn't a POV character but it was kinda implied he Warged at the Red Wedding, it's possible that Robb warged into Grey Wind before dying. His last words were "Grey Wind". He would then have died twice, once as Robb and again inside Grey Wind. Other clues like his wife would note he would zone out at times and not eat for days, which is exactly what Bran was doing when he figured out about Warging.***

All the Stark children dream of being their direwolves, except perhaps Sansa because hers got killed early on, and we don't hear much about Rickon, but we know Jon, Arya and Robb all did fasho and that all their children are connected to their direwolves, and what we learnt is that these dreams aren't dreams at all, they are real (remember Bran thought the same early on, that it was just dreams, only he was the only one to actually realize this).

***we learned in the last book a warg, when dies can take the form of the nearest creature or one he is connected to. So that also could imply Robb warged into grey wind. In any event, the Starks have some ancient history, the blood of the First Men. That's why you find wargs in Wildlings and Northerners, but not really in Southerners, who are descendants of the Andals.

The reason there's fan pressure for Jon to come back is because Dances with Dragons alluded to him coming back. Five years ago. It's less about whether or not he'll come back, and more about how he'll come back.
The other thing I wanted to mention is that numerous people come back from the dead in the books. Caitlyn Stark. Lord Beric Dondarrion. The Mountain. So GRRM shows us dying isn't always dying.
