We want to keep him, and can match any offers he gets I'm pretty sure.
He gets penalized every single game (a joke between me and a friend is calling out "HOLDING #76" it's a part of every game lol, was even going to go so far as to get that on a jersey). He's had ankle and foot issues his whole time here, but he's a definite keeper...

Okung is his own free agent right? Always tricky with these types of people.
But yeah, he's their best lineman by far but injury prone, which is why he doesn't deserve the mega left tackle type of deal, he should be a notch or two below that.
With that said, LOL if they lose Okung, they might as well just play with a center and Wilson. This line is already terrible with him.

Kearse has been far more productive than Irvin as in their respective careers. Kearse has been clutch and the price we paid for him is very reasonable. Irvin's contract wasnt crippling, but based on where he was drafted and his performance? Nope. Irvin is barely a notch above a JAG, and you dont pay JAG's whatever he was getting paid.
Hey, you may very well be right but i know on more than one occasion i had to ask "where the fuck is Irvin"? for about 90% of the game...and then he shows up all the sudden. Ratings aside, he frustrated me more than anyone because a) he was a first round pick, whos production slipped each year and b) he wanted to leave last year, and said so openly.
Now, i feel his role was LESS frustrating least year because he did more LB things than just pass rush, which is NOT his strong suit despite what they drafted him for. He has NO moves outside of speed rush...that doesnt work in the NFL.

What?!? I don't know how you can say Kearse was as reliable as Baldwin?!?
Baldwin literally led the NFL in catch rate through most of season and tied for most TDs!
I think he ended up finishing 3rd in catch rate but here is an article from the end of October when he was still leading:

The thing with Kearse, he is on a run first team with a mobile QB and Jimmy Graham - he is literally the 5th option at best.
The 5th option might as well be a rookie deal type player, otherwise it's just a waste of money. Put Kevin Smith or Kasen Williams as your 5th option and MAYBE the offense goes from being (and I am just picking random numbers here to illustrate the point) 80/100 to 78/100.
Just because Baldwin was the most, doesn't mean Kearse wasn't very good. Thats a strange statement to make. Go watch some of our best highlights in some big time games the last 3 years and you'll see a Kearse catch...guarntee it. Dude was money.

Letting our already questionable o-line further implode feels a lot like winning the battle but losing the war.
Yeah we didn't overpay Okung or Sweezy (woohoo we stuck to our guns and won that battle), but if we have the same O-line problem as last year, welcome to another under preforming season.
Not that I necessarily wanted those guys, but if our plan was to let them walk then we should have been signing proven guys to fill in (Mathis got a very manageable deal from Arizona).
I hope Tom Cable has some tricks up his sleeve, but after last season the only thing I think he has up is sleeve is the magic koolaid he is pouring Pete and John.
