Why do you guys hate your cops so much? I just spent 5 weeks in the US and I got pulled over a few times but they were real gentlemen and just normal dudes. I was bracing for an attitude or power trip from them but was pleasantly surprised.

I would say that Australian cops are way bigger douchebags than yours.

lol if you're being sarcastic that was a good one.

If you're being serious I'm not sure how you can possibly think your 5 week vacation can accurately reflect Americans feeling towards law enforcement given our history and decades long battles of corruption, police brutality and oppression. You would need to spend years here, ideally in urban areas, to even get an idea. It bothers me when people go on vacation somewhere for a bit and think they are experts on that country based on the tiny amount of experience they've had (and I'm not calling you out, just speaking in general here).

Don't misinterpret my post, I was merely asking a question to understand the locals point of view. By no means was I suggesting my sliver of experience makes me an expert.
