No, you dont. You can opt out. My company is 75+, and my CEO had the option, but decided to stay on it.
Either way, since when is it a bad thing to give your workers health insurance? I know when i look for a job, thats a main point for me...i have a child and that shit is expensive. Our company pays for 75% of our insurance...without it i would be majorly fucked.
50-99 employee companies can only opt out til 2016.
I understand that you want health insurance as an employee. It makes perfect sense.
Try and understand this tho, when i first started out in my business I worked my ass off to book any job I could as long as I made a buck. I sacrificed a huge amount of time and possessions to make this happen. As time goes on I eventually got to a point where I can take a decent salary. This took years of hard work. This takes a support staff who also needs to make a decent salary. After all expenses and salaries are paid my company puts 10k(hypothetical) a month in the bank. Now a new law comes in and says I have to pay health insurance for 50 people, where does that money come from? I mean let's say the bill is 15k(hypothetical) a month. The business won't be profitable. So what has to happen? Prices have to go up and the consumers of my product have to pay the difference. Can I be competitive with a company who doesn't have to pay Obamacare? No.
Also if you really want health insurance then you'd be looking for a job with health insurance. If my company didn't offer a compensation package that you liked then it wouldn't be the right job for you.
It discourages growth
Also when I had the nuts to start my own biz I didn't have health insurance so it's hard to have sympathy. I'm not tryn to be offensive bro. I respect your opinion.
