Im going to read that whole mandate but for the time being I am skeptical. If he wants to make the process similar to MMAR then I believe it is proper. If he wants to legalize it adhering to the MMPR regulations currently being appealed then he is no better than Harper and his idea of legalization is treating it like pharmaceuticals. In other words government and major corporations will take all the profits, illegal growers will face harsher penalties (including ones with mmj cards) and it will be the furthest thing from free enterprise.

It said he wants to model it after Colorado but honestly I don't follow what you guys are doing up there with weed much.

That said people not going to jail/prison which result in some literally having their lives ruined over weed is great either way with option 1 of what you wrote of course being the best one.

Also the govt & big business are always going to look for a way to make money off of shit and try to corporatize things because well that's what I guess we like to do in North America! (and everywhere else).

Man I got the news a few days ago that one of my good friends from college smoked himself, I'm feeling horrible for his family and his girlfriend. This is maybe 4 or 5 years after I had to deal with the suicide of my childhood best friend. Shit doesn't get any easier, I'm not one to pray but I am definitely hoping they are smoking blunts and chilling up in heaven
sorry for your loss, troy.

Yeah definitely, he needs to reform the c51 omnibus bill that Harper enacted for me to believe in him. Which currently required mandatory minimums of at least 6 months jail time for possession of over 6 plants I believe.

Harper is such a piece of shit, he hid that under the guise of the c51 bill being an "anti-terrorism" bill. So in the same bill that gives terrorists and sex offenders higher penalties it gives pot growers higher sentences as well. And of course during Harper's first election campaign he fought against omnibus bills for the very reason that they lack transparency. Who'd of thought a politician would lie to us :(
