I understand 'spunk' means something different out there, but in the Commonwealth countries (Britian, Aus, NZ etc) using it in the way you have would have some unattended consequences. In fact I have never heard of spunk being referred to as 'courage' only the other two meanings.

Actually I can answer that. I wanted to fit in with the other kids at school so I bought it when it dropped.
