That Keith Thurman/Robert Gurrero is gonna be a FIGHT! We're going to see how good Thurman really is in that one. The ghost is a tough s.o.b. Good to see Gary Russell back as well he was always that prospect is was looking at that never really took off. I hope Josesito puts a hole thru Andre's chest, nothing against him but never really liked the guy, dude was way too coccy a few years ago talkin bout he was gonna fight Floyd then had a few doses of reality lol. Kovalev and Pascal is going to be fun, I expect for Sergei to blast right thru him. FUN FIGHTS FOR BOXING THIS MONTH!

Not sure who else is gonna be on the Fox Sports 1 card, but Alfonso Gomez vs. Yoshihiro Kamega is going to be a blood bath. Very TV friendly fight right there.

And my man Cornflake getting a huge breakthrough on Showtime, dude he's fighting is 16-0 I believe, should be a big test for the flake.

March is all messed up for me.
I have things going on every weekend, but luckily I'm cutting the first weekend short and taking off from a convention early to catch the first NBC card.

Then I have a family birthday the next week.
Then family coming from out of the country the following week.
It's just all messed up. I literally sit there hitting refresh on a round by round page on my phone straight pissed off the whole time while people try to ask me life questions.

Great month though.

Marquez inexplicably priced himself out of this undeserved title fight. Froilan Saludar steps in.

I keep hearing that HBO is interested Chocolatito in May. I really hope that materializes and a fight with Estrada happens on HBO, then Inoue sometime down the line.

Bernard Hopkins Breaks Down Kovalev vs. Pascal

Bernard Hopkins will serve as the expert commentator on the HBO World Championship Boxing telecast on Saturday, March 14. Hopkins, having faced both fighters, provides his thoughts on the Kovalev vs. Pascal light heavyweight championship fight.

“March 14 is going to be a great night for the light heavyweight division and boxing in general with a strong overall fighter in Jean Pascal taking on THE light heavyweight champion in my opinion, Sergey Kovalev. Both guys are going to lay it all on the line but only one is going to walk away with a victory. Having fought both, I know how tough they both are...in their own ways.

“Jean Pascal is a tricky guy to fight because he’s going to throw punches from unorthodox angles and in non-traditional ways. You can get hit all over with shots because he delivers them in very deceiving ways. He’s not a guy who’s going to sit in the pocket. You have to be careful because he can sneak up on you and put you on the canvas. You have to outthink him and outwork him. That’s the only way to beat him. Not everyone is going to have to the IQ to beat him, but you need to have a solid game plan to have a chance.

“Sergey Kovalev’s biggest strength is his size, but he’s also capable of moving quickly and it’s unexpected. His talent is tremendous but he also has the accuracy and foot movement to subsidize the talent. He also has a great coach in John David Jackson, a former world champion who’s seen every style you can mention. You have to give some credit to the teacher who’s giving him a big edge outside of the ring through the way he coaches. Now that Kovalev has that experience on the championship level, he’s going to take that and improve on all the aspects of his game.

“This is going to be a great light heavyweight battle with two guys who are going to have to dig deep into their arsenals to come out victorious. Make sure you’re watching HBO on Saturday, March 14 for a great night of boxing and some special insight from yours truly commentating ringside. I look forward to returning to Canada and breaking it down for the fans watching at home. I know these guys are going to fight with everything they've got and I'm excited to see the outcome.”

The live tripleheader (9:45 p.m. ET/PT) is headlined by the 2015 ring debut of light heavyweight champ Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev defending his title belts against the formidable Jean Pascal. The HBO telecast opens up with a light heavyweight bout between Isaac Chilemba and Vasily Lepikhin followed by the evening's co-feature an important heavyweight tilt between Vyacheslav Glazkov and Steve Cunningham.

Al Haymon has spared no expense with the production of Saturday's debut edition of his new boxing series, Premier Boxing Champions. The NBC televised card takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. A very large six figure amount was spent on giving this debut PBC event an explosive boost for television viewers. The card is a televised tripleheader with a welterweight main event between WBA 'regular' champion Keith Thurman defending against Robert Guerrero. The co-feature will have former three division world champion Adrien Broner facing dangerous John Molina, and former three division world champion Abner Mares will open things up against countryman Arturo Reyes.

Damn broner, coming in heavy missed weight by a pound...

PBC on NBC Weights: Guerrero 147 Lbs, Thurman 147 Lbs
Posted by: Jake Donovan on 3/6/2015 .

High-powered adviser Al Haymon is going all in for the inaugural episode of Premier Boxing Champions, which debuts Saturday night at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The show airs live on NBC, marking the first time in nearly 30 years that boxing will be featured live in primetime on network television.

Headlining the show, Keith Thurman puts his unbeaten record on the line as he faces Robert Guerrero in a 12-round crossroads welterweight matchup. Both fighters came in exactly at the 147 lb. limit.

In the co-feature, Adrien Broner faces John Molina in a bout that is to be contested at the 140 lb. limit. Broner came in at 141 lbs. during Friday's official weigh-in. Molina tipped the scales right at 140 lbs.

According to NBC Sports Network—which is televising the weigh-in live, as well as online—Broner will be fined by the Nevada State Athletic Commission if he is unable to shed the extra weight. However, the commission announced following the weigh-in that both fighters were permitted +/- 1 lb. since it's a non-title fight.
