Also its probably somewhat like someone turning off their car in the drivethru or something then turning it back on two minutes later to "save gas". Even though it burns more gas doing that because the car injects extra fuel to start lol. No idea if that'd be true with pcs maybe that initial startup uses more power than just turning your pc to sleep for a few minutes. I dunno

Man gaming with a plasma kind of sucks though honestly. I mean it looks stunning and the picture quality is pretty amazing I'm finally able to utilize 1080p pure direct because I finally have a source that can give it which makes movies look even better. Its as good as 1080p gets but games and their huds can and do cause image retention, not to be confused with burn in. For instance if I played bf hardline with literally the worst possible huds for plasmas, massive square huds with ridiculously bright contrastive hot white on a high contrast bright blue, those huds will still faintly be there for probably 20mins -2 hours afterwards whenever the screen is mostly white. Its nearly unnoticeable but my eyes instantly focus in on it and it bugs me

I hope there's some kind of moddable hud or settings I can alter

I had a plasma years ago, great picture but had to get rid of it cause that same shit annoyed me too much. I remember when my daughter was little she would watch the Disney Channel for a couple hours and that channel had the permanent Mickey ear logo in the corner of the screen, would always have that barely noticeable Mickey for a couple hours.

Or if I'm browsing the internet I hsve to fullscreen with f11 so the annoying high contrast icon buttons with bold outlines don't cause annoying image retention. Bought this tv for bluray movies and I love it but may need to convert to a 4k monitor if it keeps bugging me
