NYC’s most expensive 1-BR rental is $300K/month | New York Post

Outside 20 E. 76th St

The city’s most expensive one-bedroom rental is a staggering $300,000 a month — or $3.6 million a year — at The Surrey, at 20 E. 76th St.

The penthouse unit is only 1,200 square feet with 1½ bathrooms and comes with artwork by Ann Hamilton, Jonathan Borofsky, Nathalia Edenmont and Mel Bochner.

The listing brokers are Lisa Maysonet and Gary Kabol at Sotheby’s International Realty.

Also in the sky-high rent department, three $150,000- and one $120,000-per-month, furnished one-bedrooms are up for grabs at The Pierre, at 2 E. 61st St., according to Streeteasy.

Whoever rents the apartments will have full access to the five star hotel’s luxury services, says Town listing broker Andres Perea-Garzon

You could buy a mansion for 300k in Georgia.

If you rent a 1 bdr apt in NY for 300k/ month, you obviously have too much money. Thank you capitalism.
you can buy a beautiful home with acres of property damn near anywhere in the rural midwest for 80k

300k? ....who the FUCK even makes that much money?

& even if they did, why waste it on RENT?
