Syria is just a pure shitole, I don't even see how that country can ever stabilize in our lifetime.

I do agree with loosening ties with Saudi Arabia, that regime is practically a recognized ISIS state.

I would rather have an actual, sovereign, and independent Kurdish state. Those guys deserve it

i'm not using your social and interpersonal interactions and family history as the basis for my opinion. i'm seeing it through a historical perspective of whole societies that have oppressed specific people within their boundaries and the ramifications of all the atrocities that took place. whether you are innocent or not does not change the fact that a certain group of people royally screwed over another group of people and that we're stealing with the ramifications of it til this day.
as an idealist you're saying people shouldn't be intolerant toward other ethnicities, which i agree with, but from a practical perspective you cannot equate white oppressive racism to black racial angst. you also can't expect the less powerful ethnic minority group to establish as much control over white people's thoughts as white people can over themselves. the result of the oppression is angst and it's not like that is an unnatural feeling. the cart should not go before the horse.

In a way, it's similar to the genocide in Cambodia. It was US Imperialism that created the environment for someone like Pol Pot to come around. And by that time the US was so done with the disaster in Vietnam (and bombing of Cambodia) they turned a blind eye to the genocide. Ironically it was the enemy Communist Viet Cong that had to invade and overthrow Pol Pot and put an end to the genocide.

And here, if not for the disastrous US Imperialism in the Mid East, ISIS would never exist.

People need to be accountable for their own actions not the actions of people of history.

If I fuck you over, then I am to blame, not joe schmoe who is also white because I say something racial.

& thats the problem today, & it dont matter what color you are, ...the blame game.

nobody is accountable for their own actions anymore & thats where this problem lies, not because of groups of people who did this or that.

not all black people are responsible for beating Reggie Denny.

not all cops are responsible for beating Rodney King

not all whites are responsible for slavery & oppression.
