In my last career my route went up into the hills to the IBM spots out in those hills, and up in whatever area that is near Alum Rock Park when you get up high on that hill and can see the whole city.

I currently live at the base of the hill by Alum Rock Park, those hills are the east foothills & the road is Mt. Hamilton road off Alum Rock

& for a brief time a few years ago, I lived on Santa Theresa at the base of the IBM campus, ...that area is pretty dope. Just too far of a commute for me.
