Rios brought his newly revised A game while Alvarado brought a straight F.
The results was a 3 round beating.
I can't really tell if Rios improved by that much. Looks quicker and more aggressive but could look like a turtle against a slick boxer. I'm sure he is getting better though.
If I was Alvarado I would just stay in the gym and not sign any fights until I cleaned up my charges. You can't do that in your hometown twice. It's just not right.

Honestly, Rios looked exactly the same to me as he did against Urbano Antillon if any of you guys remember that. Antillon had just come off of the fight that was almost fight of the year against Soto and had also pissed off Rios going into the fight. It was a war but Rios stopped him in the 3rd. Same weapons - uppercuts, hitting to the body and around the guard to set up more uppercuts and hooks. Alvarado was dead in there though. Wasn't throwing punches or moving.
