So ive been sobering up the past few months, and ive been noticing i have a hell of a lot more nightmares than i used to. Its always the same kind too. A faceless aggressor is always chasing me, and i seem to slip away right before said maniac slices me up. Its getting pretty fucking annoying and it just seemed easier to sleep when i passed out high as fuck and drunk. I never dreamed when i was fucked up. Is this just because my mind is clearing up? Anyone go through this when you were sobering up?

I've never (knowingly) had a nightmare.

They say everyone dreams whenever they sleep, very very rarely I'll remember a small detail or theme, but never anything bad, scary, or unsettling.

99.9% I just wake up the next morning 99.9% blank.

Anyone ever take Chantix for trying to quit smoking? Now that shit caused some disturbing dreams. Like I'm carving up some corpse taking out organs. Fucking bizarre. That was a few years ago, they said the only side effect were abnormal dreams. Now I see on the commercials they added "may cause suicidal thoughts and suicidal behavior" lol fuck that drug next year they'll probably add "may cause you to turn into Big Lurch".

I have very vivid and detailed dreams, kinda always have. I've had some horrific nightmares and still kinda do as an adult. The weird thing is, I had less nightmares when my life was a lot more chaotic. Now I don't fall asleep with a million things on my mind or the feeling of guilt and fall asleep within a couple minutes at the most, sometimes in less than a minute of my head hitting the pillow. But my guess is that I fall into a deep sleep, and once that REM sleep hits, I have some whacked out dreams.
Ne Obliviscaris @Ne Obliviscaris , I can't remember but didn't you said you work with cognitive neuroscience or some crap? Any thoughts on crazy dreams?
