In many cases it is being withheld or access is simply not readily available. And what does "do some research" mean exactly? If a guy is freshly out, has no skills, is reading at a third grade level, is below the poverty line and has no money, how is he going to go through the expungement process? Can he even pronounce expungement? But in your world all of this is freely available and all it takes is dedication...

We're not arguing semantics. You're making a claim that has been refuted by the most important sectors in education. From S.T.E.M to S.T.E.A.M to the areas dealing in social and mental/cognitive behavior to finance, they ALL have refuted your claim time and time again.
