So yesterday, my daughter, her mom and I hung out for the first time in about 2 years. Its been a battle between her and I, seeing as she moved to florida with the baby and I was in California clearing up some legal bullshit. Anyway, i just moved out here earlier this month, and we all got to hang out. She spends the whole time blatantly showing off some cubic zirconia engagement ring. Im laughing at her, asking about the new dude and why he hasnt called me like a man and make sure its cool that he is around my child. This dude is a first class lieutenant rescue-a-batch i guess. Anyone else go through this comedy?

Why the hell would he need to call you? It's not like he needs your permission. I'm sure he doesn't want to hang out with your kid so there really is no need to call. He's sort of just stuck with your kid and probably doesn't like dealing with it at all.

I have no children but I've dated plenty with kids and the last thing I am about to do is call the ex to see if he is OK with me, like we are going to join some family share plan on T Mobile.

I think if she is trying that hard then she would probably take you back and you should make her cheat on the new guy with you, then just give her back to him.

I've had ex's try to make me jealous, but the people they end up being with are never really a "great catch", just like the dude who bought your girl that fake ass ring. So no need to be jealous. Just rag on her ass.

Dating is one thing, but engagement and marriage is another thing. If i pull another mans old lady, i give a courtesy call. Everytime.
Ehh, ya. I've been with married women before so I think the last thing they want me to do is call their guy. Haha!

I get what you're saying though. I'm sure you'll run into the guy.

You got this all wrong man, what are you gonna say "no it's not OK for you to be around my kid"

That guy would probably shake your hand buy you a steak dinner for that. Now he get's to leave your kid with you to babysit while he plows your ex lady.

My daughter's mom is engaged or so she says, i could give TWO fuccs about the BZ tho, real talk. Me getting away from her was the best thing that ever happened to me. Plus i took her to court and now we share joint custody with our daughter. Not the best of moves, was hoping for more but i'll wait until she fuccs up then my daughter will be with me full time. Dude is a total fucc up btw, been to prison and on top of all that he has like 3 or 4 kids himself. lol...#HOESARESTUPID

Sounds like you want to have your cake and eat it too. You still have feelings for her and using your kid a leverage. At least that what it's sounding like from here.

I'm sure you go out living your life and if the day came when you met somebody serious and want to marry, you wouldn't turn to your baby mama for her approval.

Let her be, Breh. As long as dude isn't harming your child it's none of your business what her mama does and who she's fucking. If she fucks up? Better for you to fight for full custody and win, but other than that, step aside and let that lieutenant put a beating on that ass that you once had in your possession, but fumbled of forfeited.

Just be there for your child and provide. Don't use her man as an excuse to wash away your responsibility. With that I mean dishing out doe for your next of kin no matter who's in the picture and how good they may have it, but most important than money is time. Being a real dad isn't about how much money you dish out. It's about the quality time over all.

I been through this plenty of times and there is a reason why the baby mama and I aren't together. Some dudes end up seeing what I saw in her and dipped, but that's not my problem nor do I worry. My deal is my kids.
