So HBO is going to finish this year strong with good, meaningful fights

Hopkins vs Kovalev
GGG vs Rubio
Donaire vs Walters
Canelo vs Kirkland (or possibly Joshua Clottey if no Kirkland)

Cotto is still being a diva though and his fight against a soft touch will likely be on PPV (apparently they now rejected Andy Lee said he's too tall pfft)

I guess the reason khan looks chubby is because he's fasting because of Ramadan and apparently a lot of people actually gain wait during this period (i guess you can only eat at night or something like that ). My bigger concern are the fucking booty shorts lmao wtf kind of shit is that.

I disagree Coach E. No @Coach E. No , imo Thurman vs Alexander is a great fight that makes a lot of sense. Thurman desperately needs a name on his resume and Alexander is a solid name who easily beat Maidana and others. Porter handled him basically the same way Bradley did - by smothering him. That seems to be Alexanders weekness. It's a very good test for Thurman

That still doesn't make sense that he would be gaining a grip of weight, unless he's not training right now but it's still odd that he would look that fat. Maybe Paki food is crazy fattening or something. Look at your boy Naseem.

lol that fool is a chump. Hella flashy and cocky when he's winning, gets embarrassed by Barrera and basically retires. Your brother Fat Dan keeps talking about how he needs to be in the HOF. Speaking of which, Fat Dan is a faggot.

Side note, do you guys like that Brian Campbell dude on ESPN?

As far as fasting, that's interesting. I have fasted a few different times for 3 weeks and lost weight but I did it differently. I ate mostly fruits and vegetables for the 1st and 3rd weeks, and ate nothing at all for a week straight (not just sun up to sun down, all day). It makes sense that I would lose that weight fasting like that but I have never heard of dudes fasting and gaining weight lol

That's because fasting in Ramadan isn't like a diet fast. You can eat but only between certain times. So if you're only eating big fatty meals late night, then sleep, that's how they gain weight.

-The fast (sawm) begins at dawn and ends at sunset.

-Each day before dawn, many Muslims observe a pre-fast meal called suhoor.

-In the evening, dates are usually the first food to break the fast.Social gatherings, many times in a buffet style, are frequent at iftar. Traditional dishes are often highlighted, including traditional desserts, and particularly those made only during Ramadan. Water is usually the beverage of choice, but juice and milk are also often available, as are soft drinks and caffeinated beverages.

Canelo-Clottey Clash in Talks For December
According to industry sources, former champion Joshua Clottey (38-4, 22KOs) - and not James Kirkland - is currently the frontrunner to face Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs) on a televised date in December.

Canelo's team have confirmed that Clottey, who dominated Anthony Mundine in April, is one of the leading contenders.

Hamed should and will be in the HOF. 5-6 year title run, defeated 10 former champions, had unbelievable punching power especially when you take into consideration that he was almost always not in a great position to get off power shots based on his style.

Not to mention he brought great paydays to a division that outside of Morales/Barrera weren't getting them. He fought Barrera when he really didn't have to and he also actively pursued a fight with JMM who turned down a fight with him.

Go look at some of the guys in that get elected to the hall and tell me Hamed doesn't belong there. It is unfortunate that he basically quit after the Barrera fight, but it doesn't take away what he did.

The only argument Hamed has for the HOF is that there are worse guys in there than him. He had great power no doubt but his resume was kinda weak man.
It wasn't murderer's row but I wouldn't call it weak. Vazquez, Bungu (only man to stop him), McCullough, Kelley, Johnson (held his title for 4-5 years when Hamed beat him), Soto (unification fight) were all quality wins. Paul Ingle also isn't a bad win considering he went on to beat Junior Jones after losing to Hamed before his unfortunate final fight.

I'm not saying dude was the greatest ever by any stretch, but he brought a lot of money and spotlight to smaller divisions and introduced people to boxing that normally wouldn't watch it, besides being a quality fighter.

I think not coming back after Barrera certainly hurt his legacy, just seems like people's hatred for the guy gets in the way of what he actually in the ring and for the sport.

I understand he brought in money and entertainment and all that. I just don't think he's HOF worthy (same reason I don't think Gatti and many others aren't). There just aren't any great wins on his resume. I don't really care though since pretty much anyone with a name gets into the HOF it seems (while more deserving guys don't).

Joshua Clottey just tweeted he has a big announcement to make so looks like it will be Canelo (I really wanted Kirkland, hearing he'll be on the undercard

Yeah I get it, I'm mostly going off the precedent that's been set by the IBHOF. If it were the hall of great like it should be I'd be in agreement. I honestly don't think dude had as a bad of a career as people make it seem though.

Extra disappointed that Canelo picked Clottey. I understand you want to stay busy but that fight can only make you look bad, unless he's able to KO Clottey.
