IM NOT LOOKING 2 MAKE PPL HAPPY WITH VIDEOS OR MY PERSONAL REPLIES. I GUESS WE JUST SEE IT FROM 2 DIFFERENT ANGLES.
Since this is a business, and I assume a decent portion of the way you make your living comes from music, I would presume that selling more records would only be a good thing for you right? At the end of the day, like virtually every business, you provide a service. If someone goes to a place like Subway since you used that example, and their whole attitude is "we don't care if you like your sandwich, keep it moving and we're gonna keep doing us," it might deter the next dude from wanting to buy a sandwich there, or maybe just try another location. If they go to another one and get the same treatment, the chances are less of coming back. You are the only location in this situation, but there's a million other options out there. My opinion is that Subway ain't very good to begin with so if they have bad service on top of that, the sandwich better be at least worth the money.
If a video is an effort to create any interest in the album, it does you a disservice to have a bad video. If it's all about the music anyways, you might be best served to just post the song on you tube like you have in the past with Gang Star. I haven't bought one of your cd's in forever, but that song made me want to check out the album. All I really care about is the music, but if the video is bad enough, I might actually turn it off and watch something else personally. Videos don't really matter, but a really bad video doesn't do you any favors, you feel me? I haven't seen anyone tell you how great the video is yet, whatever that is worth. You don't want your name associated with an inferior product. You don't see Jordan promoting Shasta soda.
*side note, I still drink Shasta soda cause it's bomb and cheap lol
