I'm not of the belief that "I can teach you how to fish I'm not going to give you one." I've openly typed solutions on this board before.

Sure, because I've actually helped siccness members with this before. You can start at Kitco.com and Ictaonline.org for the gold and silver.

As for grains you can look into spots like pleasanthillgrain.com and if you don't know exactly what you're getting into wholegrainscouncil.org can help.

Investopedia is also a GREAT source for learning about money and finances. Any other questions you have you can feel free to ask and we can openly discuss them.

You have black lawyers. You have black owned clothing stores. You have black owned car dealerships. You have black owned restaurants and black owned this and that. Spend the money with your own people first and then let it trickle outside. This is how all other ethnic groups do it and they are successful when they do it. We can't always get shit for free. We need to sell goods that reflect good craftsmanship that help eliminate the "if it is black it is cheap" menality.

Yes, black people have no infrastructure outside of this country and I've said that many of times on this board. However, we don't NEED an infrastructure outside of this country. In 2012 blacks gave over 12 BILLION to charities. As of Feb of this year the spending power was 1.1 Trillion. Why do we need anyone outside of this country?

Incorrect. Are you familiar with social mobility and social status? If not then google the terms and read about them or hit me in PM and I can give you some ISBNs to look up.

This is why education is key. The problem is, a certain group of people want the majority of us dead. Yes we are targets but they will serve up a white person just like they will us. Now granted, we will get it quicker but everyone that is not in that bracket or group is on the chopping block. So hell no they aren't right. It's conditioning, it is sustaining a white infrastructure that caters to a certain demographic. However, at the same time, you have people like Tim Wise who are attempting to change all of that.

You are entitled to your opinion that my solutions are microscopic but short of leaving this country, which I have advocated for openly here and in public, those are your best solutions. Holding hands and signing "we shall overcome" will not cut it. The black church will not cut it. The black elite will not help you. The so-called black leaders will not help you.

Leave this country or be a nation within a nation like other people. If not, then you will forever be under the whip.

We aren't progressing well as a whole. Recidivism rates are high. Teen pregnancy rates are high. Hiv rates are high (especially when it comes to the women.) Black females with degrees outnumber black males with degrees, we aren't opening businesses like we should, etc. Now I am not saying it is all doom and gloom, there are positives out there, but we place emphasis on the wrong things while everyone else is looking at us like a proverb "don't be like the blacks."

Yes, I've seen the response you are talking about, EDJ spoke about what you're talking about 10 years ago on this site. However, a person can't let that dictate their actions and this is what we as a group need to focus on. We need a cultural shift. We need to find out who we really are, embrace it and push forward. Now I'm not saying if this person can do it you can do it. That is BULLSHIT. This cat may not have the mental capacity or resources to
do what you do. He may not be able to achieve the same level of success that you have but why should he be looked down on because he doesn't have the latest shoes or a 2015 whip? Why should he be looked down on if he doesn't have the latest "swag" or whatever term is used? It's because of that social status and social mobility I told you of earlier.

And then we have an inferiority complex that is deeply rooted in our psyche. You go to school and you see white teachers and principals who really cant't relate. Go to the stores and the managers are white. See a cop driving and he is most likely white. Apply for a job and the boss is white. Go to the court and the judge is most likely white. You've seen whites, in positions of power, over and over again while you see your people getting the short end of the stick. Then you go into a church and what do you see? White Jesus, lookin like the gayest muthafucka who ever walked the earth and you sit and are told that this is your God.

So yes, it is systematic and Pavlov like conditioning at its finest but it can be fixed but it has to start with us. We can't sit and point fingers at the white man any longer. We have been able to overcome greater odds with LESS so it's time we step up.
Now I'm not gonna respond like...everything you said is wrong...and I agree with your positive move forward...but understand this...we only make up around 12% of this country...yeah there are Black owned businesses but what are they...beauty salons, barber shops, restaurants are the most abundant...and you ALWAYS SEE a litter of Black people supporting those institutions...you go on to say that you come into contact with White people in every aspect of life because there are so much more of THEM...than there are of US. You remarked on their systematic break down of our psyche...now ME and YOU know full well what that is over the years and how that has affected us...it's much more than any of these white people commenting on something they have never experienced...to see and recognize that type of slow break down happen not only to you...but to your brother, sister, father or mother...and you don't have the mentality to change coarse. Like you say some are built of sterner stuff than others. I wouldn't so whole heartedly down play our achievements which like I said early are remarkable considering White America has launched several killing campaigns on our vocal leaders on this soil. For us to rally under the million man march on the park grounds of Washington showed right there our ability to mobilize...what other minority group in his country can say the same?

In short we probably agree that things need to keep moving forward in a positive manner. I just look at it as the "glass is half full"...and we are strong. I read your comment as the "glass half empty ...and we are weak...so that is the issue I took up with your initial post but I won't argue against your direction.

To add to what HERESY @HERESY said...

I'm tired of seein and hearin about black on black violence. We need to stop goin to war with eachother over complete bullshit.

I wish we showed eachother more love instead of hate. It's been said before blacks will kill blacks and wont be shit but a candle light vigil or two, but let a white kill a black and all hell will break loose. Why cant we have the same emotion when we kill ourselves?

I feel like a big factor in the role of how a lot(NOT ALL) of us black people act is this music. It can be said for any race really but I'm talkin about black people. Some see it as entertainment, but guess what, some dont. Some actually look up to the shit and get edjucated by it. They wanna be JUST LIKE THAT NIGGA IN THE VIDEO...JUST LIKE THAT NIGGA ON THE CD!!!. Whatever he portrayin, they wanna be JUST LIKE THAT!!

What came about after the Black Power movement was crushed?

Look...I'm here to simply PROVE TO YOU and EVERYBODY LOOKING, READING or LISTENING (lol) that the communication between Black men is strong NOW...strong THEN...and strong TOMORROW... the proof is in his thread as we question to ourselves for ALL AND ANYONE outside of us to see...how do we progress as Black men in front of all theses other groups. That takes balls to open up like that...that takes communication and solidarity to and for the greater good...that is the essence of what the slaves had to do TRUST YOUR BROTHER AND TRUST YOUR SISTER...just like we trust each other to have this open conversation. No other group is as open as us.

We make up 12% yet our spending power is over a trillion. We don't need the numbers we need to properly use our money. Yes, we support what you listed but we are more than that. Again, you have black lawyers, black car dealers, black real estate agents, etc. There is nothing wrong with spending with your people to make sure the money gets around. If you don't someone else is going to come in and set up hair shops, nail shops, food catering, liquor stores, etc in your neighborhood.

Take a look at this image. It's Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs. Now ask yourself, who is providing the bottom two for black people and how does it impact the middle and top tiers?

You make music, did you know that minorities make up over 90% of those in the music industry yet minorities only control 10% of it? Have you looked at sports and seen the ratio of black players to black owners?

you go on to say that you come into contact with White people in every aspect of life because there are so much more of THEM...than there are of US. I come in contact with people. All colors. All religious backgrounds. All economic backgrounds, educational backgrounds, sexual preferences, etc. I see the break down you're talking about and it isn't good. At the same time, I'm not downplaying the achievements we've made. A page or two ago I ended my post with three locations. I listed those locations because of what was built there, who it was built by and so people can see who destroyed it. This is why it does NOT make sense to destroy your own communities.

For us to rally under the million man march on the park grounds of Washington showed right there our ability to mobilize...what other minority group in his country can say the same?
The Chinese have China Town. One million people inhabit it. They don't need to march on the park grounds of Washington. They are pretty much mobilized already. And since we are speaking on mobilization let me give you the real: how many of us, once mobilized, actually know how to properly hold and fire a weapon? How many of us actually know how to clean one? How many of us can live off the land? We can mobilize all day long and have a 1 BILLION man march, what does it prove when we don't know who we are and can't control shit.

In short we probably agree that things need to keep moving forward in a positive manner. I just look at it as the "glass is half full"...and we are strong. I read your comment as the "glass half empty ...and we are weak...so that is the issue I took up with your initial post but I won't argue against your direction.
I wouldn't say that we are "weak." I would say that we are highly misguided and put the cart before the horse. Our priorities are not where they should be. I can't get mad at a white man if he wants to spend money with his people first, keep his neighborhood up (I'm NOT talking housing discrimination or gentrification) and then get down with others. Humans have done this for however long humans have been here. However, we are the LAST to adopt this strategy and we need to change. You're a business man. What happens to early adopters most of the time? They eat. The Johnny Come Lately? He starves. We need to start thinking business and stop thinking with emotions and play the game like the world plays it.

Muthafuckas don't give two flying fucks if you fuck up YOUR shit. So you get mad and angry and fuck up YOUR shit? AND? Now fuck up the next persons shit and see what happens. If you are angry and fed up take it out on the people who did it. If you are going to riot, and you want to fuck shit up, fuck up the people who are responsible.

And people in prison get better health care then EITHER of us and their shit is gonna get replaced. The average person on the street? Probably not. No insurance or a lapse? Hell no.
Like I said, Riots are the only reason America gives a shit about this or it would be just another deas man killed by the police swept under the rug. This is bigger then some looters acting foolish.

And like I said, ideally what you need is LEADERSHIP to lead this into something bigger. But you and I know that doesn't exist. They send FBI informant Al Sharpton and he can hold up his hands and demand justice. Then what? Nothing. The outrage is there. The tricky part is taking that outrage and use it progressively. But again without proper leadership within these communities it becomes a lost cause.

Let me ask you a couple of questions. When was the last time you were pulled over because of your skin color? When was the last time you were denied a job because of your skin color? When was the last time a store owner followed you around in a store because of your skin color?
Unlikely cus of my skin color. Perhaps other profiles though. Young man driving at night, suspicious car, too nice of a neighberhood, who knows. I've been pulled over dozens of times. I've been beatin by police. I've had my window kicked out. I've been hog tied. Ive been spit on. Had my face shoved into the mud. Took an elbow to an eye. Had a cop drop his belt and challenged me to a fight when I was only 17. I've been put into gang database for god knows what reason (associates?). Strip searched. Been in jail. Did time. If this is what I've gone through in fucking liberal ass Seattle I can only imagine what many back men have gone through.

But what does that mean EXACTLY? I'm still waiting on a response to my last post concerning some of the things that were brought up. Unless this is a case of Blacks shutting out Blacks then this becomes a lose/ lose situation.
It is up to us as black men to unite invest our money properly and build. We will lead as an example for our women and children. We better get started because feminism, faggotism (I know I made this word up), and the media works against us diligently. Obama wont save us, Jesus Christ wont save us, Only we can solve our problems. Praying and marching does minimal to nothing. Looting fucks up the areas economy. We need U.N.I.T.Y put the jealousy envy and female tendencies to the side and look forwards to advance as a strong unit

The problem as I alluded to originally is that the police have been militarized with all of uncle sams old toys from Afghanistan and Iraq. They are too bloodthirsty and poorly trained for this, and their poor leadership is showing. Its become us vs them, cops vs civilian. This isn't a race issue, but the media turned it into one by sensationalistic click bait journalism. Its so sad that people are that dumb and can't see the real issue

Okay...I was trying to come to a conclusion between the two of us but there are to many general statements being made in your post for me to cover ALL of them and some of them I'm not quit sure fit our original talking point: But I'll just take one passage of yours to some up my response,

"I wouldn't say that we are "weak." I would say that we are highly misguided and put the cart before the horse. Our priorities are not where they should be..."

But you have stated that we have Black lawyers, doctors, representatives basically in all walks of life...so there has to be a positive direction for this to occur...and also let's not step over the fact that we have the biggest image booster in a black president and First Lady (she could have easily been a white woman) in the highest office...so Black youths who grew up during this 8 year run are accustom to seeing a Black man in charge...so at 8 years old you start to realize what a president is...8 years later you are 16 when he finally leaves office...so that is a major roll in a youths perception of his "people" and what they can achieve. In short I just don't see this "major" shift that WE need to undergo...but I can tell you where the MAJOR SHIFT needs to come from and that's with these White people who hide behind guns and badges, court rooms and jailing facilities...because that is where the MAJOR problem is and that is where you should focus your statistical data on (not attacking you...just punching home the thought). There is NOTHING WRONG WITH US...ITS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM...CHECK THE HISTORY...MANIFEST DESTINY. They still live by the, "Willy Lynch Letter" on how to raise and control a slave.

This isn't a race issue, but the media turned it into one by sensationalistic click bait journalism. Its so sad that people are that dumb and can't see the real issue
The biggest problem is the ingrained institutional racism that permeates this country. Not trying to attack you when I say this, but this is why I don't believe things are going to change. No one is addressing the actual issue; at most a new law will be passed against police (but lets face it...this isn't going to happen) and people will be like "yay progress!" all the while our clear as day to anyone with an modicum of intelligence racist laws will still be around which allows for incidents like these to happen again and again.

The militarization of the police isn't what led to these people in Ferguson protesting; it was the act of one cop treating a black kid/guy like an animal because that's how society at large still views black people; one can say this isn't true there has been huge progress made, and I'd rebuttal things have largely gone unchanged for black people since the 70s because the laws that put black people in the position they're in have not changed. It's the same horrible laws, different era.

People are calling for demilitarization of the police after seeing how the police treat the news personnel and others like them; for most of America this didn't become an issue that concerned them until they saw white people being affected. People are acting like this type of treatment of black people is something new when for black people it's always been this way. The laws just aren't fair at all and this is a direct result of these laws that favor one group of people over another.

Demilitarization is the white issue, equality is the black issue. People see these militarized cops trampling all over the freedom of speech and right to gather and protest and they can directly see how that would effect them in times of protest and as a result have become very vocal about it. But these same people don't see/care about the inequality in application of law and justice that blacks have been going through since forever because that doesn't directly affect them in anyway. So as a result they demand action on what does affect them, and maybe they'll get that change. However at the rate this country progresses for blacks and other minorities (because there is very much a difference in rate of progress for blacks vs whites) it's going to be another 25+ years before someone in a position of power takes a look at these laws and sees them for what they are.

So honestly I couldn't give a fuck about the demilitarization of police force; I really don't give a damn. I want to be able to drive down the street and not get stopped and worrying if this cop is going to kill me because he feels "threatened" by me; I want my brothers and sisters to be able to walk through a protest without getting maced and detained for doing absolutely nothing wrong. I want society to stop painting blacks as these savages and enacting laws that reinforce their fucked up views. I want less Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, <insert black person killed #76841> by the police because of some quota/perceived threat by the rest of the country.

Honestly, fuck the problems of white America. I'm tired of the focus on these "problems" I'm tired of the constant "well get to your problems after we address these problems" approach/attitude. Like no, fuck you we've been placed on this ever growing "To do" list since the fucking 60s. I'm tired of hearing about these really stupid ass "First world problems" I'm tired of hearing about "women's rights" that don't include the plight of black women, I'm tired of the reactionary "men's right advocates" that don't give two shits about the hilariously fucked disproportionate rate at which black men are locked up. Fuck this faux Gaza outrage, when people in your own fucking backyard are being treated like shit but we have people out here rallying about something happening across the Atlantic.

I'm tired of fucking hipster douche silver spoon fucks co-opting everything then dumping it when it's no longer "trendy". Like those fucks who wear those "I Am Trayvon Martin" shirts. No you're not, you're a white kid from the burbs who majored in fucking Art History while living off your trustfund. This will never be your reality; you sit in front of your computer making stupid caption pictures and sharing it with your friends, many of which don't give a single fuck. You then scour the internet for the next tragedy you can be a part of. Many of these assholes don't give a fuck past surface level interest. They sit in their little coffee shops drinking their overpriced shit water talking about "those poor black people, if only there was something like we could totes do". There is fecal breath, stop sharing those stupid images with dumb captions about "Civil Rights man!" and organize sit ins, gather people in your community to talk to your governor. Your facebook crusade is a crock of shit, I'd rather these people do nothing.
Black people make up all of 12% of the US population. I'm going to be painfully honest, there is very little we can do on our own without the help of a larger subset of the US population; but when the rest of the country doesn't give a shit. It absolutely sends a message to the rest of us and slowly but surely kills our morale. I've already done the cliche "send a letter to your governor" here in FL; I've been downtown and talked to people to get them to become aware...they don't give a fuck and that sends a message to me (and thus this long rant is really a cumulation of my frustrations at people's apathy over these past few days).

Don't get me wrong they are very much real issues, but they're issues that by some coincidence are always exclusionary towards minorities. I want women to have their rights, but I would love more for black women to stop being marginalized and being told their ugly by damn near everyone. Men's Rights? Man fuck that shit in general, boohoo. I'm not even going to address that shit because for the most part... simply put fuck men's rights. Talk to me about black men's rights first then I'll give a fuck about "men's" (read: white) perceived injustice. More women movies in lead roles? I'm down for that, but I'm more down for black women not being basically side pieces to these powerful white men despite the fact that vast majority of black/white relationships in America are black men/white women. I'd be down for the cause if these "more women in lead roles" also covered Asian females, black females, hispanic females. I'd be more down for that if there were more black/asian/hispanic females in Hollywood period; and fuck that stupid argument of "herp derp well maybe there aren't many Asian/Black/Hispanic women trying to be actresses".

You have a bunch of "patriots" who are all cheering this Bundy douche and people like him for "protecting our border" and being anti-government talking about how horrible the government is and how much power they're taking away from the people; but these same chucklefucks are silent when there is actual government fucketry going on in front of them. You have politicians talking about the "American" people but let this shit go on for fucking days while they play golf and snort lines of blow off the asscrack of a hooker while having their underpaid intern pen some shitty response about how bad they feel about how the police have handled things so far and sympathize with the people. No, politicians don't give a shit as long as their pockets continued to be lined by the industrial prison complex they have no incentive to change shit.

Honestly there are days where I am seriously like, fuck this country. This country is a big fucking facade; to the outside this place is fucking amazing and great and omg wow a shining beacon of human achievement, but look past the surface and it's shit; absolute unfiltered 100% no preservatives added shit.

"Things will change"…do people not realize just how long this line has been towed? Like this is all black people hear is that things will "change". What people don't tell anyone is that things will change...after this other issue is addressed. And these "issues" are always pages upon pages long.

At least this shit doesn't happen in Austin. At least not yet.
Local police involved in 400 killings per year

An Austin police officer shot Billie Mercer's unarmed son in the back of the neck last year. The oldest of his three children, now 13, still asks when he'll be able to see his father again, she said.

"I already feel like I have a hole in my heart, and to see my grandkids missing him like that," she said, going quiet for a moment. "That detective, he just doesn't know what he did to our family."

Mercer's son, Larry Jackson, Jr., was killed after he tried to open the door of an Austin bank that had been robbed earlier that day. A detective, Charles Kleinert, tried to question him, but Jackson fled. Kleinert — who at one point got a ride from a passerby — pursued him under a nearby bridge, where he shot Jackson in the back of the neck. A grand jury indicted Kleinert on a manslaughter charge in May. It charged that Kleinert was trying to strike Jackson while he was holding his gun, "recklessly" causing his death. Jackson died under the bridge.

It might be strong to those that LISTEN. But what about those lil hardheads out there. Who's speakin to them? Why arent they listenin? Its a bunch of lil niggaz runnin around ACTIVE as fuck. No leadership and goin in their own direction.

In anytown USA you got this block fonkin wit that block, cause that nigga smoked that nigga...and vice versa. Why arent "leaders" preachin peace propaganda in fonky areas? ...ALL THE TIME

Im tired of hearin calls for peace when somebody gets killed. There needs to be peace rallys every fuckin day through every neighborhood....in the "hood"
(im venting)

We need a whole helluva lot more of what we already got.
