I mean, a kabar is just a fixed blade survival/"fighting" knife.

It always bugged me when I was in the Army and people would say "a kabar" when referring to a big fixed blade lol. Ka-bar is a knife company that makes every kind of knife. hunting, folding, tanto etc. They have way more then just the Rambo knife they're famous for.


I fuck with Benchmade though, both Cold Steel and Ka-bar make nice knives, but Benchmade is the best I've ever used. I have a folding Benchmade I've spent years beating up and it's still great. Also have a button press switchblade Benchmade that has my name engraved in it that I got as an award in Afghanistan, that one sits on the display shelf though.
