Yo.anyone who has ever owned one of the new cars with the new Keys or even the past coded Keys knows losing one is going to cost so much mayne.

BM keys for example are like $300 to $400 to replace...Yes a Key.
I could buy a Scraper for that hahaha

I could make a whole nother post abost this subject...

actually I did like a year ago but my problem was nobody elses at the time.

It's fucked up when a new key can run you the cost of a bucket for the low....smh. I havnt had to replace a key with a transponder yet

but I did have to jerry rig one of these b4....and it worked!!!

The electronic key on my shit still works, but the actual metal part of the key broke off lol so i use the spare...

Youd think the metal on the key would go way further up into the plastic part, but the metal actually only goes like 1/5th of an inch up there and has these two little rods on each side, like a t-shape

A good way to preserve that ur key is just try to only press the buttons when u have to... just lock and unlock it manually ...the only time u really need to press it to honk the alarm on is when ur shit will be unattended for awhile.. I see people come out and press their buttons like 16 times n im like damn lol those things dont last forever...

I paid a lot of money to replace my ignition because the key went bad. My boss at the time told me how to bypass that shit a couple days after I dropped close to $400 on a new ignition. Adding insult to I!jury, I figured it that more than half of that fee was for hourly rates to install the ignition, and they more than likely Sat for 4 1/2 hours on their ass, then finally spent the half hour to replace it.

What kind of car was it? I was going to try and replace the ignition switch on my previous car but discovered that I didn't have some of the tools needed for the job.

I need a proper set of tools dammit.

09 crv

I think i remember what did it tho, was when i let my lil bro borrow it one time, he came back to swoop and he wemt to start the car and the steering wheel was locked to the side, and his dumb ass couldnt figure out why the key wouldnt turn didnt know to press the brake firmly to free it... So he turned the key hella hard like a fucking caveman and i heard it crack lol... The key fell apart like a week later

I won't buy a GM ever again because of the bailout, how they played investors on Wall Street, and because they make crappy cars... 11 years before you tell consumers GM?

I can digg it.....

GM do be doin shady shit. The latest being that ignition switch failure thing which they again knew about years before it came to light.

that's a big let down for pro GM people like myself lol....smh

I'd just like to see them get on the right track.
