NBA2K14 Online Play

so was my guy you gotta use the VC to up his stats and its a pain in the ass cause you gotta do it for defense offense metal and physical and unless you buy coins its gonna take a long ass time thing that fucks me over is turnovers i get barely bumped i lose the ball i try to get an assist some superman defender jumps across the lane and causes a turnover
I still haven't sat down to play this but I got free coins by originally getting a free copy of this that included coins. I never cheat and buy coins but I might this year.
You have to box out and one of the biggest things that helps to get rebounds is having a good vertical.
Also, not sure if it's the same this year but the best base is Athletic. Took me awhile to realize that on 2K11 but it's been the best for the previous 3 years. Gives you good jumping/dunking ability and decent speed right out of the gate. Those are the most expensive to buy with VC so you get a bit of a head start that way.
side note - This is a ridiculously slow installing game on ps4

When you're starting out, open jump shots are damn near the only way you score.
I got drafted to the Charlotte Hornets (Bobcats). I was getting 30 something ppg, 1 or 2 assists, and 4 or 5 rebounds a game. Went to the playoffs and beat the Spurs in the finals, and promptly demanded a trade to Golden State on the first day of the offseason.

The only time I go for assists is on a break. Too many chances for it to be stolen otherwise.
Once you get the finisher signature skill, use that shit and you'll be scoring hella off of drives. My guy does layups and 3 pointers and is damn near unstoppable into my second season. He can't dunk but it doesn't matter.

My guy is a 6'7 SG and I made him kinda long limbed but in my first game he actually tried to throw down a dunk going down the lane over someone which was really surprising but I got fouled and it went off the back of the rim. He finishes layups in traffic a lot too only 3 games in. I chose him to be an athlete though which helps a lot with jumping/dunking and I spent the VC to get him 10 more dunking points so he's up to 80 I think?
Not sure why they made dunking so complicated seems pretty retarded but I just made my guy into a good shooter. Fuck paying for points, for those that dont know the best thing to do is make your player like 6"7 so he can play shooting guard and small forward. You get more opportunity for playing time before you become a starter.
Yeah I did. Im so much better now lol. For some reason dunking is hella expensive to upgrade. I have a 6'6 Athletic SG and the only time I ever dunk is on a fast break with no defenders in site and It's always a two handed jam. After Im done with season 1 I guess I'll use all my points on dunking. Seems retarded but whatever.
i maxed out my stamina since im a starter im a 6'3 SG they have me play PG & SF but im starting to get sick of these bitch ass bucks OJ mayo is goddamn ball hog and a horrible defender FUCK THE BUCKS

lol well Kah if you played well enough in that rookie game you could have been drafted by the Mavs or a better team. I got a trophy just for being drafted by a better team. I actually started over cuz of getting drafted by some shitty team, i think it was the Bucks. In 2k13 i played for the Bucks and did hella well cuz Monta and Brooks were money, they would score and get me assists damn near every time I passed to them.
